The 2020 Best Friend Tournament was a heated competition and it came down to very worthy competitors: Jacob Riedemann and Garrett Gibson.
Ultimately, Garrett came out on top, but he wasn't so sure that'd be the case down the stretch. Will he repeat in 2021? The next installment of the tournament begins Sunday.

We expanded the show to outside our inner-circle and some of the stories you'll have to hear to believe.
I had someone reach out to me — a complete stranger, actually — who had a loved one receive a similar cancer diagnosis as dad. I have been thinking of recording something like this for awhile, and after this person messaged me I knew it would eat away at me if I didn't use my platform, albeit a small one, to potentially help even just one person going through such a frustrating and cruel situation.
These are my thoughts and some perspective I gained after seeing firsthand what cancer can do to someone and their inner circle. It certainly took me multiple takes and I probably didn't say everything quite the way I should have, but I hope that it helps someone out there.
It's broken down into a few segments:
The first is focusing on what folks who may not quite be on that inner circle can do. We had so many folks help out, but not everyone has that. And it's not very fair to expect people to know what to say or what to do without having been through such a thing.
The second is focusing on self care if you aren't the one with the diagnosis. That's something I admittedly needed to do a much better job of handling.
