Tribal Politics of UPND MP’s Disgust Kungo
Mr. Jackson Kungo who serves as the Former PF North Western Province Chairperson says it is disappointing and disheartening to note that all UPND members of parliament from Southern Province refused to support the progressive Constitutional Amendment Bill number 10 of 2019.

Mr. Kungo says, this is a clear indication that the UPND continues to practice tribal politics in the country.

He stated that, the people of Zambia have now been shown clearly that the UPND has no interest in them except, in taking their leader to State House to continue amassing questionable wealth as he did during privatization.

He further said, by ordering all Southern Province UPND MP’s to stay away and boycott the debate without giving adequate reasons for or against is tantamount to cheating Zambians who sent them to Parliament in the first place to participate.

"The commission declares John Magufuli of CCM (Chama Cha Mapinduzi) who garnered the majority of votes as the winner in the presidential seat..." said commission chairman Semistocles Kaijage.

Voter turnout was 50.7 percent from more than 29 million voters, with over 260,000 votes declared invalid.

No final results were given for the parliamentary results however Magufuli's ruling CCM had earlier won all but two seats, with around 200 of 264 parliamentary seats announced.

Sponsored Plan to Destabilize the Country

HH and his UPND will go to any length to cause havoc in this country because they are under the illusion that change of government would happen easily under such circumstances. HH’s thirsty for political power has shown us that the current political dispersion exposes serious weakness in Zambia’s opposition political systems. UPND has a serious challenge of misguided political leadership to marshal the required effective opposition strength to create a climate for development to unseat the PF government.

By Dr. Joze Manda

The statement by Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo last week that “government was aware that some opposition leaders were soliciting funds from their collaborators who were asking them to cause lawlessness in the country” just confirms what we have always said and it is high time our security forces swung into action to avert any possible catastrophe before next ...
