A massive thank you to everyone who has bought a magazine in the last couple of weeks. The last of them will be posted out today. I am sorry for any delay. We live in a very small village and our post office is also our village store, they are working extremely hard sorting home deliveries and I didn't want to overwhelm them with 100 + magazines to sort. I hope everyone understands and that it is worth waiting for. Thank you all again stay safe ❤️

Suspended Animation

Take a moment in time, stop,
suspended animation.
From the undergrowth a blue tint cast upon the enchanted landscape,
a natural blanket.
Silver statues imposing,
the pillars of life.
A mist of light radiating throughout, projecting an almost infinite silhouette onto a bed,
the swathes of existence.
Vines enclosing, wrapping, crawling, reaching up through the canopy,
afraid to fall.
Whispers carry through the wind, gossiping,
rumours spreading.
Captivating ensembles echo in the vastness.
One last breath until time continues...
One last breath

Another fabulous photograph showing just how many mites can hitch a ride: courtesy of macro photographer Matt Doogue, I reckon this wee bee would have been struggling to take off!

What are murmurations?
Starlings flock together in large number to create mezmerising flocks. They fly in perfect sync... but why?
It is safer to be in the middle of a hypnotizing flock, predators like Peregrine Falcons find it difficult to hunt and target one bird amongst up to 100,000 birds. Absolutely breathtaking, a sight to behold. See the link below to see an amazing video taken by Alan Bowie of the beautiful display. Can you spot the raptor?

A little video of two hedgehogs in my garden, Peter Quill and Debbie Harry ( the blonde one). Watch out at 1:34 for some scratchy action. Can you spot any other animals?

This is the crested tit page, I hope you all enjoy my poem.

Hello everyone, my name is Emma and I am an 11 year old nature enthusiast and Birdwatcher. For as long as I can remember I was intrigued by the wonders of nature: birds, insects mammals and all that surrounds them. As I am homeschooled part of my week I decided to embark on a project to create my own magazine to put my knowledge, interests and love of writing wildlife poetry on paper to help raise money for the RSPB. Local photographers and wildlife experts have generously donated their time and work to include in the publication. They are for sale for £5 Inc delivery within UK payable through PayPal. All the profits from the sales go directly to the RSPB . Below is the pdf version for you to have a browse through before hopefully buying the paper copy. Please send a message to purchase a copy.

Cairngorms in the Wild

Hello everyone, my name is Emma and I am an 11 year old nature enthusiast and birdwatcher. For as long as I can remember, I was intrigued by the wonders of nature; bird, insects, mammals and all that surrounds them. To be able to experience this every day, my mum and I moved up to the beautiful Cairngorms to the lovely little village Boat of Garten. No longer was I seeing animals in a book or on a screen but in real life. Last year I began to study the Cairngorm identification course, run by Speyside Wildlife. Despite my age I received so much support and encouragement, sparking an obsession with birds and birdwatching that will be with me forever. As I am homeschooled part of my week, I decided to embark on a project to create my own magazine, to put my knowledge, interests and love of wildlife poetry writing, down on paper. I have included some of my poetry and written all pieces unless otherwise stated. I hope you all enjoy it! I would like to sincerely thank contributors that have kindly taken the time to write commissioned pieces, specially for my magazine, those who have allowed existing material to be used and a special thank to all of the photographers who have been generous enough to allow their beautiful shots to be used within the publication. Without all of your patience, kindness and generosity I would never have been able to produce this magazine.
