I'm just trying to be better today than I was yesterday. That looks differently for all of us, and for me It's been being present with my family and staying out of "task mode." There always seems to be something to pick up or a chore to do and when it's never ending it can be become easy to tell the kids "Hold on I just need to do x or need to do y".

Happy it's another challenge down and I wanted to show what the last 7 weeks changed. I was able to stick to my macro goals 85ish% of the time and although I had to recalculate some estimated one rep Max's, it was for the better.

I see some minor changes between the start and ending photos. Little more ab definition and more muscle. I'm a lot farther along than when I started this journey. Clothes are fitting better and I'm definitely noticing the differences, but still have some work to put in. Onto the next challenge

Let's be that example to everyone around us. We never know who's watching and we never know who we'll make an impression on. Doing the right thing isn't always easy, but it shows who we really are on the inside. It's something I'm still learning, and the right thing isn't always some big public display, but little things day to day.

Remember where you came from so you can enjoy where you are right now. Happiness is a bully...I'll be happy when x, y, or z. Take pride in your small wins and be proud of what you be done. Happy These are 3 years apart and about 15 pounds. I've been able to make small life style changes thanks to and and the supportive friends and family. Right now I'm 20 pounds down and keeping it off

Happy and day 1 of the The first day is always the most exciting as I'm ready to take on the next 7 weeks. I'll be in a calorie deficit to lose some of the holiday fluff that occurred in December. I'm expecting my lifts to take a dive, but I'll be working to keep the weights heavy.

A win over the last few months is keeping to my maintenance Calories. I didn't go off track too much and still enjoyed the holiday feasting.

A few goals I have for the next 7 weeks are:
1) 10k steps a day (treadmill time...gross)
2) Hit at least the required reps for the 5/3/1 working sets
3) Run a mile by the last 2 weeks 3 times post workout. It's something i've avoided, and I've come to terms with the fact that cardio is inevitable.

Another CSE challenge down. This challenge I kept to maintenence calories to give myself a rest with all of the craziness going on at the end of summer. The extra calories were welcomed and did wonders for my lifts. My bench, squat, overhead press, and deadlift increased without adding any inches to my waistline. Until the next one

Another week down and another week to become who we're meant to be. This week has been exhausting as we flip our schedules from summer time to back to school, but you can always choose to do the hard things with a smile on your face. Being happy is a choice, and although bad things will happen to you, it's all about how you react to it.

Don't stay down when you get knocked down. Learn from your mistakes and change how you approach problems.

I'm starting a new cycle of the 5/3/1 program and since starting I've increased my squat and deadlift by more than a 100 pounds and my bench by 40. Mentally I couldn't wrap my head around doing anything more than 200ish pounds and currently working towards pulling 400, squatting 360, benching 245, and overhead pressing 150.

Happy New Years everybody! 1st day of the which is always exciting. I always use these 7 weeks to push myself for good habits, accomplishing goals, and tuning up my work outs.

This challenge will be different as I'll be continuing in a calorie surplus vs. A deficit which mentally sounds scary. I've always been bigger so for years ive had the mindset of cutting calories to get small. I'll be doing a mix of with workouts from the app and using routines to keep me moving. My buddy recently introduced me to 5/3/1 method and I'm excited to see what progress I make for that.
