Revivals usually have distinctive markers that are observable that classify the thing that happened as a revival. It's too soon to say if this is a revival or not. It's definitely something that seems like God is moving, and it's no small thing, it's fantastic! We rejoice that God may be meeting people in beautiful ways, and we don't want to take away from that! We just think it may be a little presumptuous to call this a revival right now.

Dr. David Falk is a professional egyptologist who runs a youtube channel called "Ancient Egypt and the Bible". He joins us today to talk about the Exodus and if it really happened, when he thinks it happened, and why it all matters.
Surprisingly, the issue of the exodus is incredibly contentious and triggering in the realm of scholarship. You have some scholars say it happened earlier around 1400 BC, other say around 1200 BC - which is the later date view, and some who even say it didn't happen at all. Part of the reason this is so volatile of a subject is that depending on what you choose to believe, there is a lot of fallout on how you receive the entire Old Testament pretty much.
This was a super fascinating discussion and we think you will agree!

Tate Medina has been on our show twice before to discuss friendships with Atheists and pro-life views, and defend his position against an atheist in debate form.
He joins us today to steel-man the protestant view of the Pope and explains what and why Catholics believe what they do about the Pope.
If you're protestant it's likely you don't have the most accurate view and he joins us today to clear things up.

Rebellion is a tricky topic. The Bible says it's wrong, but how far does that go? If we are in a country with an evil and oppressive leader, are Christians supposed to submit to that? If our boss is abusive should we still submit to them because they're our leader? Should a woman submit to her husband even if her husband is evil and wants her and the kids to do evil things?
See, this topic very quickly becomes sticky and nuanced.
Join us today as we chat with returning guest and Christian content creator Robin Schultz!

If you've never heard of Bayesian Analysis or don't know what it is, don't worry, Ethan didn't know what it was either. That's why we have this show!
Bayesian Analysis is a tool used to help measure the probability of any given thing. It can be used for simple problem-solving like "Who ate my pizza?" as well as more complex issues like "Is there a God?"
Today we learn from Exploring Reality what Bayesian Analysis is and how we can use it to make a case for belief in God, ie, Theism.

Also known as The Tentative Apologist, Dr. Randal Rauser is a Canadian theologian and philosopher, author, and overall deep thinker. He joins us today to discuss "progressive" scholarship. As information becomes more readily available in our times, so does access to Biblical scholarship. As people get into Biblical scholarship they are met with the often confronting facts that scholars seem to hold less than conservative views on scripture.
Christians who grew up hearing that the Bible has no contradictions may be shocked to learn that a good amount of Christian Scholars agree that the Bible does actually have contradictions. This is just one example of many that people come across.
So, in light of this reality, how do "lay Christians" understand the difference between conservative Christianity and what looks like a progressive scholarship? This is what we talk to Dr. Rauser about.

Reyn Harpole, also known as the Youth Pastor with Gages on Tiktok has a following of 164,000 and is passionate about helping youth find freedom in Christ. He joins us today to talk about the LGBTQIA+ community finding Jesus and the questions they're facing, the underestimated impact p**n has on children even as young as 7, and how technology has caused intense anxiety in kids in ways we've never seen.
As sad as these topics are, we can still look to Jesus as the answer and healer. He has overcome everything we face and has given us His spirit to overcome.

Dustin Rauser is a youth pastor and TikToker from California. He joins us today to talk about reaching Gen Z with the gospel and how the pandemic changed so much in the church, specifically youth groups.
Gen Z is a generation that craves true intimacy and community. God is ready to meet them in powerful ways and we believe he will. We as the older generation need to know this as it is our responsibility as older brothers and sisters in Christ to show them godliness through our lives. They are young, passionate, and ready for God to move.

Zane Nicks is a YWAM school leader of the Fire & Fragrance DTS in YWAM Kona. He's been involved with YWAM Kona for 6 years and has seen over a thousand young people changed by the Lord.
Today we discuss what it means to experience the Lord and have an "encounter with God." Is an encounter with God always a crazy spiritual moment or is it just a small leading of peace? Or is it somewhere in the middle?
If you want an experience with God or you're struggling to understand what that means, this episode is for you!

Tate Medina returns to the show to talk with Kyle LaPoure about the ethics of abortion and if it should be legal.
This is a conversation regarding why or why not abortion should be legal, not on the morality of abortion.
It was a great conversation and we had a lot of fun talking with them even about such a triggering topic.

Christian McCartney is a stand-up comedian and Tiktoker who has amassed a following of four million people. He joins us today to talk about comedy and Christianity and how and where the two intersect.
So much of comedy is funny because it is poking fun at an idea, individual, or thing. As Christians, it can be hard to do this in a way that is God-honoring. Christian McCartney talks to us about this tension and how he's found success walking this line finely.

Shia Lebeouf, Eminem, Matthew McConaughey, and other big-name celebrities seem to be coming back to Jesus. This could mean a number of things that we get into in this episode. Still, one thing is for sure - The shallow spirituality of "I'm not religious, I'm spiritual" jargon is showing its true colors of fake and nonfulfilling.
Jesus is the only one who can give our souls what we need and it seems like culture may be awakening to that.

Today we have Tiktok influencer John The Messenger on to discuss the nuances of Celebrity Pastors.
Many of us would like to blanket statement Celebrity Pastors as not beneficial, not Biblical, and other things. Maybe you think of Mark Driscoll who the Rise and Fall of Mars Hill focused on and think about abusive power structures. Or maybe you think of Hillsong: A Megachurch exposed and think about Celebrity Pastors as out of touch and given to sin from that power.

Now, as much as these things are true and should be looked out for, they're not unique to Celebrity Pastors. Not only that, but there are also really good celebrity pastors like Matt Chandler, Francis Chan, and others who haven't had moral failures and seem to be preaching the true gospel.
Today we get into all of that with John the Messenger.

When it comes to sharing our faith it can be really nerve-racking. A lot of us have experienced the anxiety that can come with talking to people about what we believe as we're scared it may cause people to not like us, they may have a bad opinion about us, or maybe we're just scared because it can be awkward.
It can be especially awkward when the person we're talking to doesn't even believe in God. So, how do we talk to Atheists? Today we have on Tiktoker Local Theistic Nuisance to share some good strategies on how to share our faith.

Dr. Andrew Kim is a Ph.D. holder, pastor, and Youtuber who wrote a book emphasizing God's multi-national and multi-cultural kingdom.
The beautiful thing about Christianity is that it necessarily combats racism, classism, nationalism, and all the other ways that humanity destroys itself.
When Jesus came and paid for our sins and established HIS kingdom, He made it possible for all people of all backgrounds to come together despite our differences and be unified around loving Jesus and loving our neighbors.
