The ERFC was created to promote El Reno nationally as a focus for TV & Film production while coordinating community assets and protecting our citizens interests. The city of EL Reno has decided to create the El Reno TV & Film Commission to help El Reno move to the next level of TV and Film production. El Reno is at a-pivotal point in its effort to pierce the circle of productions and we believed n
ow was the time to act is now to establish a sustainable presence and to leverage the opportunity in Oklahoma’s booming Film and TV industry. ERFC seeks to promote and expand El Reno’s reputation as a premier location and Certified Film Friendly city for TV\Film\Commercial production in the State of Oklahoma while providing one-stop coordination for production logistics, permissions and permitting. The ultimate goal of ERFC for our community is an increased retention of local production per project to maximize local economic impact.(Those directly impacted are hotels, AirBnB, restaurants, hardware, convenience stores, dry-cleaners, carpenters, electricians and labor services). Film commissions can benefit both the production company and the area in which they choose to film. The production company can potentially save money by shooting out of state and hiring cost-effective yet talented below-the-line labor, shooting on location as opposed to building a set in a studio, etc. The economy at the location they shoot at can benefit via profits from hotel rooms, food, gas stations, and any other amenities that the above-the-line labor will use throughout the duration of the filming. Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Understanding the film-maker's needs for locations and providing those locations that fit the script. Coordinate with local infrastructure services (such as traffic control, police, fire etc..) to minimize citizen impact. Promotion of El Reno on a national level as a efficient and economical place to film. Assist location managers with road closures, security and traffic management. Commission Members:
