NEW Digital release NOW AVAILABLE: Rob McConnell Sextet/OLD FRIENDS-NEW MUSIC

Best known as the leader of the internationally regarded ‘Boss Brass’, this is the only sextet recording by leader/trombonist Rob McConnell. He performs here with Guido Basso (trumpet/flugelhorn), Rick Wilkins (tenor sax), Ed Bickert (guitar), Steve Wallace (bass) and Terry Clarke (drums). Great small-group arrangements, lots of fiery jazz solos mixed with beautiful ballad work. Another rare ‘find’ for Ed Bickert fans to hear more of this great jazz guitar icon. Originally released only on vinyl in 1984 (Unisson DDA-1001), this long out-of-print album has now been re-mastered for digital release by Cornerstone Records Inc.

- This is the 1985 meeting of Canadian tenor saxophonist Art Ellefson with legendary pianist Tommy Flanagan performing with bassist Dave Young and drummer Barry Elmes. Originally released on vinyl (Unisson DDA-1005), this long out-of-print recording has now been re-mastered for digital release in 2022 by Cornerstone Records Inc.
- Recorded in one three-hour studio session on Sat. Nov. 16, 1985 in Toronto, Canada, this was the only time Ellefson and Flanagan met.

TIME WARP’s long lost 1985 third recording featuring Bob Brough & Mike Murley/saxes, Al Henderson/bass, Barry Elmes/drums. A landmark recording that showcases the quartet’s powerful 'two tenor' sound and ten original compositions, it was originally made available in 1985 only as a 'cassette' to fans at gigs (although a decade later a few tunes appeared on CD105-2 The Time Warp Collection). Now, more than 35 years later, the original multi-track tapes have been found, restored, re-mixed and re-mastered, and the full program finally released on CD and digitally for the first time.
