“Last Party in R. Desert,” co-produced by Nine Projects and directed by Mahmoud Sabbagh, follows Najm, a money-driven impresario in contemporary Saudi Arabia navigating the nightlife with his music band. The film explores Najm’s professional struggles and cultural changes against a backdrop of a tumultuous night. The diverse cast includes Abdullah Albarrak, Marwa Salem, the late Sami Hanafi, and Radwan Jifri. Shot entirely in Saudi Arabia, the film showcases the country’s landscapes and narratives. The collaboration with Nine Projects adds depth to the production, offering a compelling insight into Saudi Arabia’s vibrant contemporary scene.
