It's Nolan's and Al Pacino's team up movie... Insomnia!

This is an interesting film as it's Nolan's only non-writing credit, so it was interesting to see how he directed someone else's ideas.

Welcome to the second part of Our Cinematic Universe's new mini-series on the films of Christopher Nolan. In anticipation of the release of his eleventh film Tenet, we are going through every piece of his filmography.

But it wouldn't be a Chris Nolan series without some time-bending nonsense, so we're going.... backwards through his filmography! This week we are discussing his murph divisive film. Full of interesting afflecks of his creative style, we debate wether his non-linear storytelling can really chastain an entire 2 hour 40 minute movie.

Last night we were lucky to see an advanced screening of 1917. We aren't going to do a podcast on it, but we can tell you that it's a spectacular film with a huge amount of craft and care on screen. Deakins and Mendes have come close than almost anyone to showing how a "one-take" story can deepen the tension and connection with the characters. Highly recommend seeing it on the biggest screen possible when it releases on January 9th!

Thank you also to IGN Australia for giving us tickets and arranging the screening at Events Cinemas.
