5 Tips for Halloween Eye Safety
5 Tips for Halloween Eye Safety Month
Leave the scary and spooky things for Halloween, remember to protect your eye health this October 🎃👻
Here are 5 Tips for Halloween Eye Safety Month:
🎃 Wash Those Makeup Tools: Regularly clean makeup applicators. Mascara, eye shadow, and eyeliner are all fair game when it comes to growing bacteria and hosting Demodex mites.
🎃 Beware Costume Contact Lenses: Be safe and smart when it comes to costume contact lenses. Use proper hygiene and avoid non-fitted lenses that may irritate or even cause corneal scratches and scarring.
🎃 Steer Clear of Makeup Misuse: Avoid eye irritation and inflammation by practicing good ocular hygiene. Remove all makeup before bed to help prevent bacterial exposure and potential ocular surface disease.
🎃 Look Out for Signs of Red Eyes: Be vigilant when it comes to signs and symptoms of red eye; causes can range from bacterial infection to vision-threatening eye disease.
🎃 Go To The Eye Doctor: If you’re experiencing symptoms of itching, tearing, red eye, or anything outside the usual after heavy makeup application or costume lenses — don’t wait on going to the doctor.
Have a Happy and Safe Halloween!
