By focusing on one task at a time, you can give it your all, achieve greater efficiency, and bring your A-game. Remember, quality over quantity, always! 🌟📚

It’s the last month of the year and I’ve been forced to take a trip down memory lane. Ryn Social is just over a year old, and boyyy has it been a rollercoaster 🎢 but instead of started off slow then taking off with a speed, it was the opposite for me. If it’s one takeaway I’ve had this year, is that it’s okay to pivot, it’s okay to *not know* and it’s okay to feel uninspired.

For 2023 and onward, my goal is to have 0 mental health breaks, because building a healthy career that you love shouldn’t require you to take one in the first place! I love social media, but the hustle culture, overnight success trope that has been invading my feed and for you pages since inception has done some damage to my perception of success and what a *realistic* timeline for that looks like.

All in all, this year I took a lot of L’s — but the W’s has made it all worthwhile 🤍

Okay 😬 hear me out — I’ve definitely been looking at Instagram’s new changes from a glass half-full perspective. 🥛

Why? Even though I agree that Instagram is putting a lot of focus into replicating TikTok 🙄 the reality is that consumer needs are changing, attention spans are shorter and most importantly, users (that specifically follow brands) want to see more authentic content. Gone are the days of boring salesy ads.

Plus, as a business owner, you must evolve and experiment with different things. Personally, it’s inspiring me to stop procrastinating + build my confidence by making more video content — which is important since I’m trying to build a personal brand, and not just a business. 🤷🏽‍♀️

And I may be biased, because and I are bff’s now 🤭 but change is inevitable, and I know that we’re all missing 2015 when social media was simpler — but I’m sorry besties, we’re in a new era that requires you to adapt and overcome 🫡

And you know what? I believe in you 💕

I’ve learned a LOT since starting my own business. And one of my biggest areas of personal and professional growth has been self-confidence.

If it's one thing I could tell my 10-year-old self, it's this:
Don't be afraid to be the center of attention sometimes; To speak out, share ideas, learn, and FAIL. People's perception of you does not matter as much as you think it does. And, despite all your trials, your success is inevitable. 💗

Looking for one quick tip that’ll help you to harness the power of hashtags straight away?🤔(no offense but doesn't know what he's talking about sometimes)

👉🏻Stop using the same hashtag sets over and over! That’s the tip 🙌🏻

It may sound obvious, but I can’t even begin to tell you how much it has helped me + my clients to reach more people just by alternating between a few different hashtag sets! 🔃

And here’s the best part - Creating different sets of hashtags only takes a few minutes! ⏱All you need is ‘s hashtag tool in their app. You can choose hashtags based on your niche + industry, mix and match them based on what content you're posting.

With TikTok's API recently being updated to allow auto-posting, I officially have no excuse to not stay consistent. 🙃
You guy's don't even want to KNOW how many ready-to-post videos I have in my TikTok drafts. 🫣

TikTok right now is like Instagram in its' prime — and I'm old enough to have lived through the era where you gained followers on here for simply ✨existing✨

So I'm sorry — if you're still reluctant to add short form video content into your strategy PUHLEASE get a grip 🙏🏾before the train leaves you at the station 🚂 sincerely, ME 💗

(Also, I promise it’s not that hard because the reels report membership in my bio takes literally all the guesswork out of creating reels on TikTok 🥰) don’t say I didn’t tell you 🙄

This is your reminder that there are going to be times when you feel like you are not making progress on your journey as an entrepreneur.
And while it sucks, it’s normal, and you are NOT alone.

You see, my first year of Ryn Social has been the definition of highs and lows. I landed what I thought was my dream client and was getting paid a LOT of money compared to most people my age. 💰

I became so hyper-focused on this one client, that my actual business growth (and my grades because I’m still in college) was stunted. I wasn't coming up with new ideas, I wasn't posting, I wasn’t going to my classes and I lost sight of the initial reason I started this business in the first place. 🤕

Even though I was a business owner, I felt like I was working 24/7, struggling to keep up, and being burnt out to facilitate someone else's dream.
I felt like such a failure, and an imposter even though in the eyes of everyone, my business was technically successful.

It's super easy to get lost in the sauce, and extremely overwhelmed — but I soon realized that I wasn't the only one feeling like this.

My class at (filled with the most talented social media strategists you've ever met) 🥺 are always super transparent when it comes to their struggles and feelings as an entrepreneur, and it not only helped me put things into perspective,
but it made me realize the importance of being a part of a community of people that share similar experiences with you. It's literally invaluable! 🙌🏽

Being in a community of entrepreneurs reminds you that what you are feeling is so normal. 🫶🏽
