Our guest for our Season 7 finale is @geokleo! What a guy. In addition to heading up the Cherubs program at which Michael has taught for many years, George also teaches an infamous class at The Theatre School at DePaul University called “Movement to Music”. It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like - the teacher plays a selection of music (often jazz) while an ensemble of acting students explore what that music inspires in them physically, as a group. If we’re being reductive, it’s like improvised interpretive dance with a group. But it’s so much more! Movement to Music was a challenging, inspiring class for me when I was in college and I’m so glad George is carrying on the tradition for a new generation of theatre artists. As such, I decided to make George a mixtape of songs *I* might program if I was teaching M2M. Some real groooovy stuff. I hope you enjoy, George! And I hope the rest of you do too.
