Matt Ley is a remarkable thinker, collaborator, leader, & friend. Several years in the making, he’s been ideating and instructing at , and in this next season he’s campaigning for the release of his book, Manage Your Gaps (coming this summer)!!

It’s been a privilege to learn & grow with him, and we can’t wait to see how this valuable contribution changes workplace cultures & management styles everywhere.

What. A. Day!!!

We visited up in Green Bay with the hopes of being given a few minutes of attention from a kind tour guide or intern.

But we didn’t get that.

We got TWO HOURS of ONE-ON-ONE time with Corey the CO-FOUNDER?!

Needless to say, we learned a lot about hospitality and generosity.

Corey taught us a few principles to abide by in this live-streaming & production space, too…

1. ALWAYS HAVE SNACKS.

When leading others, it’s important we encourage them to press the right buttons & grab the right shots, but we first need to make sure their stomachs are full. Ergo why he offered us food & water within 30 seconds of entry to the office.

2. Don’t be a JERK! (He used a more colorful word tho)

In this industry, sometimes you can get IRKED. Grips & Assistants & Techs can fat-finger your production, lose focus on composition, or refuse to cooperate with your vision. In those moments, don’t lose your crap. Take a deep breath, scream outside the production truck to let it out, and loop back to it in 24-hours when you can have a more productive conversation.

3. Be a STUDENT of your art

Corey knew a lot. Within 30 seconds we all felt like toddlers trying to keep pace with a quantum physicist… but his expertise and passion clearly came from a place for a continued desire to learn. Corey saw his first production truck at age 25 and told us “he knew he was home,” but his hunger for growth & betterment clearly won’t ever be quenched.

We’re going to be implementing these learnings (among SO many others) in the coming months at Upload Partners… but until then, we’ll just keep shouting THANK YOU to our new friends at LiveX in Green Bay!

Our time spent with Jockey last week was ELECTRIC!

It was a privilege to capture their momentous partnerships with Daniel Suárez & Ross Chastain! Together, the illustrious racers & the 100+ year-old organization sowed into the lives of local middle schoolers to provide them with fresh jockey merch, bike giveaways, a creative lunch from Kevins Creative Catering, and unforgettable photo ops/memories all along the way!

At Upload Partners, we love our jobs for a lot of reasons…but these vignettes of unparalleled community energy & unity are undoubtedly the most encouraging part!

If you ever work with us for video capture or live-streaming, you'll definitely see Carson running around with one of these...

It's called a gimbal.

Mallory champions our operations & ensures we maintain some sense of sanity as a team here at Upload.

She's a faithful wife, fun-loving mom, and fiercely loyal teammate to all. She knows how to capture the sweetest candid photos (she's a proud Canon user), how to make her clients feel at peace, and how to find hope even when it feels far away.

It's a gift to know her and to love her. We are better because of her. We can't wait for you to see all that she'll do in the world– whether through UP or simply via her own ambition.

This week, our friends at University of Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers Athletics announced a historic multi-year partnership with our OTHER friends at Jockey.

The partnership champions future athletes via the unveiling of the renamed & renovated Jockey Sports Performance Center: the strength and conditioning home of Parkside Rangers Athletics and the campus community.

We don't know how, but Kenosha just KEEPS getting sweeter, & we're grateful for how our partners contribute to the unity and forward momentum of our city.

Congratulations to our teammate, Mike ""Ice in the Veins"" Rizzo on the birth of his son! Mike's a dynamic leader, faithful friend, and fearless dreamer.

We love the story of this photo...

It starts with Dan. He's one of our contracted camera operators here at Upload Partners. When we need that next-level of cinematic excellence, we like to give him a call.

On a recent trip to Honduras, we candidly captured this moment of Honduran teens seeing a drone in action for the first time. As Dan flew over their houses, forests, and mountaintops, an unadulterated wonderment swept over the young men's faces.

Even though Dan didn't speak Spanish, he was able to create an unforgettable "wow" moment for these future dreamers & creatives. His confident operation of the equipment & willingness to make it accessible were key factors in this story we've come to cherish.

Our foray to Central America & the relationships forged there remind us of the importance of leading with confidence, instilling it in others, and always remaining accessible to the clients we serve– whether they're 13 or 103.

A couple of our videographers, Dan & Carson, had the chance to embark on some outreach work in Honduras with our friends at Great Lakes Church !

Together, we captured moments of redemption and restoration while being reminded the power of storytelling. A free medical clinic which served over 600 Hondurans, the construction of a Family Restoration Center, and the installment of water purification systems to improve the quality of life for locals suffering from cholera & dysentery.

Documenting these stories is always a reminder for us of the importance of being a part of a narrative bigger than ourselves. Living FOR one another is the most surefire path to ultimate purpose.
