Ito ang sinabi ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sa kaniyang ikalawang State of the Nation Address (SONA) na ginanap nitong Lunes ng hapon, Hulyo 24, 2023.

Ayon sa pangulo, tuloy pa rin ang kampanya ng pamahalaan laban sa iligal na droga ngunit magkakaroon na ito ng bagong mukha.

"We will relentlessly continue our fight against drug syndicates, shutting down their illegal activities and dismantling their network of operations," ani Marcos.

Inihayag din ni Marcos na tatanggapin niya ang pagbibitiw ng sinumang opisyal na masasangkot sa mga iligal gawain.

"We cannot tolerate corruption or incompetence in government," dagdag pa nito.

Tila inspirasyon at halimbawa sa kabataan ang buhay ni Niña Ruiz-Abad, isang 13-taong gulang na batang pumanaw kamakailan dahil sa sakit sa puso. Ngunit sa murang edad niya, namalas ang kaniyang kabutihan at matinding debosyon sa Eukaristiya.

Sa kasalukuyan ay naghahanda na ang Diocese of Laoag sa Ilocos Norte para simulan ang pagsusuri sa buhay ni Niña, bilang bahagi ng masusing proseso upang maging isang santo.

Noong taong 1993, si Niña ay pumanaw sa edad na 13 dahil sa kaniyang karamdaman sa puso.

Ayon sa Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP), inaprubahan sa episcopal conference na ginanap sa Diocese of Kalibo ang pagsisimula sa proseso para maitalaga si Niña bilang isang santo.

Kahit bata pa lamang, namamahagi na raw noon ng mga rosaryo, Bibliya, aklat ng mga panalangin, mga larawan ng mga santo, at iba pang relihiyosong kagamitan si Niña.

Ayon kay Bishop Renato Mayugba ng Diocese of Laoag, humiling na buksan ang sainthood cause para kay Niña, na isang magandang halimbawa sa kabataan ang kaniyang buhay at pananampalataya.

"Niña’s life was a prayerful life full of reverence, worship and intimate relationship with God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and to the Blessed Virgin Mary," ani Bishop Mayugba.

Isinilang si Niña sa Quezon City ngunit lumipat ang kaniyang pamilya sa Sarat, Ilocos Norte.

Bagaman nag-aaral pa siya sa ika-dalawang taon ng high school, naging tanyag si Niña sa kaniyang kabutihan at kababaang-loob. Kilala rin si Niña bilang batang laging may suot na rosaryo.

Kabilang sa gagawing imbestigasyon ay ang paglipat ng labi ni Niña sa isang pribadong mausoleum.

Ito umano ay unang hakbang sa mahabang proseso bago maitalaga bilang isang potensyal na banal at maging isang santo.

TIGNAN: Tila naghatid ng kwela at saya ang estudyante na si Nathan Kris Pontillas dahil sa hawak nitong tarpaulin na may mukha ng bikolanang aktres na si Nora Aunor habang nasa entablado sa kanyang pagtatapos sa kolehiyo.

Ito ay ginawa ni Nathan sa kanyang graduation ceremony sa Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges (CSPC) nitong Martes, Hulyo 4.

Nagtapos sa kursong Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering si Nathan kung saan nakagawian umano niyang gumawa ng pakulo tuwing graduation o recognition ceremony mapa-online o offline man, kung kaya't marami raw ang nag-aabang sa kanyang gagawin ngayon taon.

Maligayang pagtatapos Nathan, Congratulations sa iyo na with "Aunor"!

Kamakailan ay inilunsad ng Department of Tourism ang pinakabagong tourism slogan ng Pilipinas na “Love the Philippines”. Papalitan nito ang sikat na slogan na “It’s more fun in the Philippines” na sinimulang gamitin noong 2012.

"This prioritization goes deeper than merely stimulating economic activities and generating job opportunities. It springs from the genuine love, me and all of us have for the Filipinos. And what better way to express that love than directly incorporating it into our country’s newest tourism campaign slogan, Love the Philippines," ayon kay President Bongbong Marcos.

Isang bahay ang nasunog sa Barangay Nagsupotan, San Juan, Ilocos Sur matapos tamaan ng kidlat.

Batay sa salaysay ng may-ari ng bahay, kumakain sila ng biglang makarinig ng malakas na pagsabog kasabay ng pagdaan ng apoy sa kanilang harapan.

Nagliparan umano ang kanilang mga gamit sa kusina nang mangyari ang insidente. Dali-dali namang lumabas ang mga magkakaanak ngunit nang bumalik sa kanilang tahanan ay nasusunog na ang kanilang bahay.

Samanata, humihingi ng tulong ang pamilyang nasunugan ng bahay.

Paalala naman ng awtoridad, i-unplug ang mga appliances at iwasan gumamit ng gadget tuwing nakakaranas ng kulog at kidlat upang mailayo sa insidente.

“For all the bashers, sana naman po bigyan n’yo naman po ng pagkakataon ang mga talents namin na ipakita naman po, mapasaya ang mga taong-bayan during this time,” TAPE Inc. chief finance officer Bullet Jalosjos said in an interview.

TAPE Inc., known for its TV show "Eat Bulaga," has asked the public to give the new hosts a chance to showcase their talents on the show.

“For all the bashers, sana naman po bigyan n’yo naman po ng pagkakataon ang mga talents namin na ipakita naman po, mapasaya ang mga taong-bayan during this time,” TAPE Inc. chief finance officer Bullet Jalosjos told CNN Philippines' The Source. “Wala po kaming hangarin kung hindi magbigay saya sa ating mga taong-bayan at manunuod.”

Despite mixed reactions, TAPE Inc. believes that these new hosts deserve an opportunity to make people happy.

Some of the previous hosts have left the show, and the new hosts include Paolo Contis, Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Cassy and Mavi Legaspi, and Alexa Miro.

Before the show's launch, some hosts were pressured to back out, but TAPE Inc. did not provide further details. The public's response has been varied, and the former hosts announced that they will now be producing content for TV5.

TAPE Inc. aims to provide a platform for individuals to showcase their talent, just as it has done in the past with artists like Aiza Seguerra, Alden Richards, Maine Mendoza, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and the previous hosts.

Despite the challenges faced during preparations, TAPE Inc. is satisfied with the show's progress.

'The first colored, non-circulation commemorative coins the BSP has produced' 🪙🤑

₱100, ₱20, & ₱5 COLORED COINS 🪙🪙🪙

Inilabas ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) ang kauna-unahang colored coins bilang bahagi ng selebrasyon ng ika-125 taong anibersaryo ng kalayaan ng Pilipinas.

Ang nasabing mga barya ay kinabibilangan ng ₱100, ₱20 at ₱5 na tatawaging APIN coin set.

Nilinaw naman ng BSP na ang commemorative coin set na ito ay hindi pang general circulation kung kaya hindi ito maaaring ipambayad.

Tampok sa ₱100 coin ang deklarasyon ng Philippine independence noong 1898 habang makikita naman sa ₱20 coin ang Barasoain, Church sa Bulacan. Nakalarawan naman sa ₱5 coin ang mga sundalong nakipaglaban sa Philippine-American War o Philippine Insurrection.

GOODBYE NATIONAL ID NA NGA BA? 🪪

Kasunod ng naganap na sunog sa Manila Central Post Office nitong nagdaang Lunes, maraming netizens ang nangamba tungkol sa mga hindi pa naide-deliver na National IDs na kasamang natupok sa nangyaring sunog.

Dahil dito, agad namang naglabas ng pahayag ang Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) tungkol sa mga PhilIDs na posibleng naapektuhan ng insidente.

Ayon sa ahensya, ang mga napinsalang PhilIDs ay nakatakdang ipamahagi sana sa mga residente ng lungsod ng Maynila kahapon.

"Based on the initial information provided by the PHLPost, only PhilIDs for delivery in the City of Manila were affected by the fire. The PSA is working with the PHLPost to determine the number of PhilIDs affected. We also wish to clarify that PhilIDs for delivery of the PHLPost are sorted and stored at the PHLPost Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC) in Pasay City and were unaffected by the fire," ayon sa opisyal na pahayag ng PSA.

"We assure the public that the PhilIDs affected by the fire shall be replaced by the PSA at no additional cost to concerned registered persons, following protocols set by the PSA for such scenarios," dagdag pa nito.

DIGITAL DRIVER'S LICENSE? 🪪🤔

PLASTIC, PAPER, OR... DIGITAL? 🪪

Inilabas na ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) at Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) ang electronic version ng driver's license, o "digital driver's license," na kasama sa inilunsad na 'eGov PH' app nitong nagdaang Martes, Mayo 9, 2023.

Ayon kay LTO Chief Jay Art Tugade, ang digital driver's license ay magsisilbing alternatibo sa nakagawiang driver's license card habang may kakulangan pa sa supply ng plastic cards sa ahensya.

Layunin nito na palitan ang Official Receipt (OR) na nagsisilbing pansamantalang driver's license at kasalukuyang naka-print lamang sa papel.

Ayon sa LTO, ang digital na bersyon ng driver's license ay makikita sa 'eGovPH' app na ginawa ng DICT at maaari na umano itong ipresinta sa mga enforcers.

Magagamit din umano ng publiko ang digital driver's license para sa iba't-ibang transaksyon sa ahensya gaya ng pag-renew ng lisensya at pagpaparehistro.
