🌾Before we can break down “Kirsaan” lyrics, we need to establish the role farming plays in Punjabi culture and the concept of Vasda Punjab.
Punjab is rich with agricultural resources and has been an agricultural center since the beginning of mankind. Vasda Punjab refers to this agricultural affluence. The Green Revolution shifted practices toward industrialized farming in Punjab.
The revolution and its impact on Punjab’s farming identity is the basis for “Kirsaan.”

[INTRO]
“Famous” starts with a sample from Raaj Kumar’s iconic dialogue in Bulundi (1981). In the movie the Professor Satish Khurana acts with integrity and courage despite extortion and threats from a cabal of gangsters. By using this sample, Sidhu compares himeslf between to Raaj Kumar’s character. This tells us two things. First, Sidhu isn't scared of anybody. Second, Sidhu is always guided by his moral compass. It is well known that fame and money often corrupt celebrities, but Sidhu is telling us that he’s different. He still acts on his principles.
