Day 1 of Skoolie Swarm 2 0 2 2 🚍

We are so excited to be here and to meet so many of you! We have already met amazing people from all walks of life!

It is so fascinating to see everyone’s creativity in the way they built their homes. We are also so stoked to have our friends as our neighbors!!

Having coffee on the roofdeck is great! But having clean solar panels on a super sunny day, is paramount!

We have figured out that we use about 20% of our battery power at night so charging as much as possible is great!

Dude has stolen a few hearts already! It’s not very difficult for him.

Happy 🤍 L O V E 🤍 day!

Last night we stayed at our very first spot away from the

We loved our stay right next to the bridge, right on the water in Titusville

We fell asleep to the sound of the waves which we loved.

Dude on the other hand… was not so sure about the waves but we will slowly get him to love the ocean as much as we do.

Today we continue down to Fort Lauderdale to drop all unnecessary items off at our storage unit.

Then we have some errands to run before we see some friends later tonight.

We have officially hit the road!!

I’m sitting on the couch while typing this, not quite sure how exactly to explain this feeling.

After a solid 9 months of full-time building we are on the road. Also huge thank you to the amazing Brett and Reneé for everything they have done for us and all their help with getting Olive to where she is today. If you ever need to build a conversion, is definitely the place to be!

The bus is by no means done but, as we said a few months ago,

We are focusing on progress over perfection.

We still have small trim pieces to do and the majority of our bathroom.

But right now it’s time for adventure and to go

We are headed off to Florida to drop stuff off at storage then see some friends and then hit the

And the best part of it is,

We area taking Dude with us! We are not too sure where our paths will end or continue going, but for right now we thank God for what we get to enjoy!!

We are officially moved into Olive!!!

I still feel like I am dreaming! It feels crazy to think that last year this time she was an empty shell!

We still have our bathroom to do but at least she is fully livable in the other areas.

We plan to hit the road next week Sunday and that makes me so nervous!

But we continue to trust in God and his timing! We know it will all work out.

Also a huge shoutout to and ! All their help is what got us to where we are today! Also, today is Brett’s birthday!! Happy birthday to the skoolie Jesus!!

Meet Dude!

The goofiest ball of love!!

He is our 5th official foster and we feel so blessed to be able to care for him.

He is a 6month old mix between a Sharpé and some type of lab/terrier.

We prefer to call him perfect instead of any breed! He is the best cuddler with the sweetest personality and he loves treats! He already knows how to sit, working on “paw” and the potty training is slowly getting better. He also has some separation anxiety but we are getting there.

He loves rolling in grass and playing with the other doggies at the .

I think it’s safe to say this baby has already stolen some hearts.

Dang it’s getting bright over here! 💡💡💡

Gordon finished hooking up all of our interior lights just a couple days ago and we also tested out our exterior perimeter lights!

While it was dark out and we had the chance, we also wanted to see how our interior blackout blinds would work at keeping all the light in!

You can see it here in the 3rd window from the front! They work amazing!

We used ‘s idea and used double-sided curtains with reflectix in-between and sewed them up on both ends with wooden sticks to keep them moving smoothly. I’ll do a more in-depth video on these in a couple days!

Happy weekend everyone! We plan to have some more walls go up today and to start on our composting toilet.

We finally have some photos to show you our Updates!

While we were gone for a month, we were blessed to have the help of to continue the build!!

It has honestly been a tremendous help, especially bc we are pushing to be ready by the .

We obviously still have loads of things on the list but the things we can currently tick-off are :

📄 - Dinette built
📄 - TV lift installed
📄 - Drawer faces done
📄 - shower floor removed for
mortar install
📄 - Grey water and Fresh water tanks hung

Some things still need to be finalized but we are definitely off to a good gear to be ready!!

Yesterday we said “see you later” to this little angel in the form of a pup!

It wasn’t easy to say the least and our hearts ache more than we would like to admit…

But it is NEVER about us and ALWAYS about them. Today he gets to wake-up with his furever family and knowing that he is loved, makes all right in the world.

Through this post We also want to bring awareness to fostering animals!! It isn’t always easy but it is always worth-it. Hero was a pup that needed a lot of patience and love and we gave him as much as we could. He will forever be in our hearts and we will definitely visit him one day!

If you can, please consider fostering for your local shelter, you are not just saving that pup but also another who comes into the rescue bc of the spot you freed. Fostering is all about giving them love, understanding and patience. It helps them know that they are loved and that there is hope and readies them to accept it openly once they meet their furever family.

Obviously we still have plenty to do before we can ~Actually~ move into the bus, but this sure does make it worth it!
