Consuming Crime

15-year-old Chuck Limbrick returns home from school to find his mother, Betty Limbrick, shot dead on the floor. Evidence points to a robbery gone wrong, but Kenda suspects there is more to the story, and uncovers a plot almost too shocking to believe.

In 1995, 14-year-old James L. Jackson was shot during a drive-by shooting on the way home from school with some friends. Lieutenant Joe Kenda attempts to crack the case, despite working against teenagers that refuse to “rat”.
