☄️ If there's one piece of advice I'd give my younger self, it's to try and find a way to recover from screwups without shaming myself.

🤦‍♀️ It's something I'm working on.

🙈 I admit I'm usually really hard on myself. I want to do things "right" (which is a tall-bordering-on-impossible order in a fast-changing industry). I am super sensitive to any signs that I might be harming someone I'm trying to help. And it can all get heavy sometimes. 😅

🤓 But I've learned from my most successful mentors that, as long as you're always doing your best to make it right, you need to give yourself permission to screw up. And yes, accept that sometimes you might inadvertently upset or hurt someone.

☄️ Just do your best to make it right, learn your lesson and move on.

😕 Simple on paper, but hard to do in real life. What are you working on to give yourself permission to do? 👇

What’s a piece of advice I'd give to a younger version of myself? 🙋‍♀️👶

No matter what you do, there will always be a better way to do it and someone telling you that you’re wrong.

And all of it is true. 🤯

☝️ The people who are ultimately successful are the ones who learn to love themselves despite being wrong. They’re the ones who find ways to make things right and learn without judging themselves. 😮

👆That’s what I’d tell my younger self. Try to learn and improve without the heaviness of judgement. 🥰

😎 How to become a “learning” company 🤓

🤦‍♀️ I’ll be frank: When it comes to messaging and social media, no matter how brilliant we are or what our experience is, we’re putting out a series of educated guesses. Some are going to do well, some not so much and some will take off like crazy.

☝️ We don’t control which is which - what we do control is what we do with that information.

🧐 At Impact Clips, we always tell our clients we’re a learning company.

✅ Because each of our clients is subtly different - their audiences are different.

✅ What works for one won’t work for another.

✅ But we learn, we tweak and because everything we do is aimed at deepening our connection with those audiences, we can afford to take some creative risks.

✅ It’s what keeps the content fun and evolving.

✅ It helps our audiences see the humans and the humanity and creativity behind the brand (this is more crucial than ever in an AI dominated world)

🤯 Learning is the antidote to burnout and apathy.

☝️ I highly recommend you instill it as a value in your content.

📌 For ideas on how, scroll my feed or check out the links in my bio.

☝️ If you saw my earlier post about clients never making big decisions alone, you know there are certain key stakeholders (both alive and possibly dead) in their lives that they are trying not to disappoint. 🥷

❓Do you know who they are?

☝️ Obviously, there will be individual variations, but I promise you, if you really pay attention, themes will emerge. If you know there is usually a spouse or parent involved, make a list of questions that person will want reassurance about when advising your client.

🔥 This is what the 4SMethod helps you do. It helps you not only get into the head of your ideal client, but their closest stakeholders too.

☝️ When making big decisions - especially financial ones - everyone has hidden stakeholders who are part of the decision-making committee.

🧑‍🦳 In some cases, it might be a spouse or business partner or parent in real life. Someone your client needs to talk things over with.

🥷 In some cases, that person may be departed or no longer in your client's life, but they function as a set of parameters in their mind - a voice in their head.

🤦Your client is terrified (whether consciously or subsconsiously) of disappointing or feeling stupid in front of this co-decision-maker.

☝️ So your job with your daily content is to tell stories that make your client feel smart for choosing your company and safe that if something goes wrong, you have their back.

🔥 The 4S Method was designed to help execute this effortlessly. If you follow it and ask yourself any of the 150 questions I've prepared, your clients and their co-decision makers will thank you - not just when they buy but with referrals.

📌 Save this for future reference and scroll my feed for examples and ideas on how to use the 4S method.

Struggling to keep up with the ever-changing social media algorithms? It's like trying to please a drunk poodle with bipolar disorder, amirite?! 🐩 🍷

☝️ So here's a strategy that works: focus on creating high-quality content that reminds people to save it for future reference.

☝️ This way, they'll keep coming back to your profile and the algorithms will show your content to more people.

🙌 Let's play a game: what kind of eccentric, inebriated creature do you think wrote the algorithm this week? Pop your answer in the comments 👇

16/09/2023

🐩 Look, if you’re beginning to think that the algorithm on here was written by a drunk poodle with bipolar disorder, you’re not alone. 😂

☝️ Any advice I give you on tactical optimization is going to be obsolete before you can say tipsy terrier. 🐶🍷

🤳 Listen, every platform wants its users to stay and scroll. So the content we create for our clients is designed to be saved - saves are an often overlooked metric to track. 😎

☝️We design content people will want to learn and revisit and of course, content they’ll want to share. If you’re using our 4S Method (and if you’re not, you REALLY need to check out the links in my bio), the first S is GREAT for shares and saves. 😘

🐶 Content that makes your clients feel smart - that turns THEM into the expert so that they can be a hero to those they love, that’s what you want to create. Want more info on how to do this? I’ve got bite-sized tutorials all over our feed. Go forth, watch and save them for future reference! 🥂

Let's pour that poodle a drink, shall we? 😂 🐩🍷

15/09/2023

🤩 A fun and quick hack to help you know what content is likely to resonate with your audience is to notice content here that you feel the need to save or copy or bookmark for future reference. 🔖

☝️ This is your instinct telling you what works. Now your job is to tweak it to make it fit your industry, voice and audience.

📌 For how-to tutorials and more in-depth training, scroll my feed. And if you want help getting it done with just 2 hours per month of time invested, use the links in our bio to reach out. 🔥

🤔 Is social media worth investing in?

🤓 This is a really smart question to be asking right now.

☝️ Like everything that was supposed to die - radio, TV, books, etc - all of which sell better than ever, social is going through an evolution.

⛔️ If you’re using social just to hard sell folks and drive them to a list, yeah, those days are done.

✅ But if you’re using social to speak to the 97% of people who are likely a good fit but aren’t quite ready to make a purchase yet - if you’re using it to help them feel smart, seen, safe and special, they’re going to keep coming back.

🤯 They’re going to quote you (and probably take the credit). But that’s fine - because it means you’re top of mind. And when they’re ready to buy, guess who they’ll think of first? 🤓

😎 How to talk about your superpowers AKA How not to be a douchcanoe 🛶

Often when clients talk about their superpowers, it comes off as humble bragging or worse, boasting. 🤮

What you want to do is talk about your superpowers in a way that shares the spotlight with your client. 🧐

☝️ For example, if my super power is asking really deep questions that brings out people’s genius and finds the words to express it, I might say something like, “I work with so many absolutely brilliant people who have these abilities that are hard to describe. Hard to put into words. My favourite thing to do is to interview them and get them telling stories that illustrate the transformations they create. This way their clients can better experience what is waiting for them.”

🤔 You see? It was about me but it wasn’t about me. 🤓

🙋‍♀️ Your turn. Pop one of you super powers into the comments and I’ll do my best to help you illustrate it better. 👇

🧐 Struggling to connect with your audience and build trust?

😘 Try the 4S method:

✅ Smart: Give clients information and insider knowledge that allows them to be higher status and the go-to person in their own sphere of influence. In other words, let THEM be the hero. 🙋‍♀️

✅ Seen: You need to be able to narrate your clients' pain points and desires - even the ones that they haven't told anyone - better than they can. Then they will lean in and say, "What ELSE do you know about me?" 🤓

✅ Safe: Since you offer a premium service, they're gonna worry about feeling like a moron if they make a bad investment. So tell stories that show them they will be safe with you. Offer a guarantee and demonstrate how you're prepared for potential risks 🤗

✅ Special: Recognize and credit your clients' insights and contributions. Share tips and ideas that they came up with that bring value to the rest of the community. Celebrate their wins and strength. It's a powerful way to make your clients feel heard and valued, and to turn them into loyal advocates.

✅ The 5th S: Save this post for future reference so you can refresh your memory before sitting down to create content 😘

📌 And if you have a question, pop it in the comments and I'll do my best to workshop it.👇

How to keep clients coming back to your feed 🙋‍♀️🙋🙋‍♂️

Haven’t heard of the 4S method? Let me break it down for you real quick. It’s all in my soon to be released book, “Take My Money” How to market on social media so clients buy, love and refer your business (without needing to fake it or burn out) That’s a mouthful isn’t it?

Here we go.

☝️ Smart - you want to make your clients feel smart. Give them information and education that allows them to rise up in status in their circles and be the hero to their loved ones.

☝️ Seen: You want to be so clued into your clients’ pain that you can narrate their nuances better than they can.

☝️ Safe: No one wants to feel like a moron after making a significant purchase. Tell stories and have a guarantee that makes them feel secure with you. And finally...

☝️ Special: Elevate your clients to celebrity status by sharing their wins, their transformations and their best ideas - they’ll have plenty as they interact with your services.

🤔 “Hey Geeta, how can I make my clients feel safe when they invest with me?”

If you watched my earlier Clip, you know that none of your clients is making a decision completely solo.

☝️ This is why the 3rd S of my 4S Method is so important. Safety and risk management is CRUCIAL when it comes to making a truly transformative decision - they need to know you have their back.

✅ Tell them what your after sales care looks like.

✅ Talk about what they can do if they have a problem.

✅ If you, like us, offer a money back guarantee, make sure they know about it.

That’s the messaging side of things. 😎

✅ Behind the scenes, empower your staff to go above and beyond to help with after sales care.

✅ Define examples of how you’d like things to be done.

People who have just spent a big chunk of money feel vulnerable and exposed - help them feel safe. And do so long before your sell them, because these are all the stories they will bring to their co-decision-makers so that everyone feels good buying in. 🥂

🙋‍♂️ “Hey Geeta, how can I make my clients feel smarter if I’m a plastic surgeon or a dentist?”

Remember, people who are about to make a significant investment feel vulnerable. 🙁

☝️ NO ONE makes a decision alone. Even if your client is wealthy and single and doesn’t care what most people think, there will ALWAYS be someone in their life whose opinion counts.

🤯 They’re having a conversation - either for real or in their heads - with that person. It could be a spouse, a parent, a mentor. They don’t want to feel stupid. 👈

☝️ So you need to think about the risks they’re assessing and give them information that makes them feel strong and smart.

✅ For a plastic surgeon, that might be teaching them questions they need to ask themselves or their surgeon before making a decision.

✅ You could also talk about common mistakes that patients make and what to do instead.

✅ Or tips for healing after reconstructive dental surgery.

💡 Some of my fave tips will be patient-generated - you and your staff should have a way of collecting the best patient-led tips and hacks and sharing them with the general public.

📌 If you found this useful, I highly recommend you scroll my feed for more bite-sized tips and workshops on how to create content that matters.
