Iki Oki Kids - The story behind the name.
When I was little, my father was a Milkman, back in the days when milk was home delivered in the early hours of the morning. He would usually arrive home as we were having breakfast, which for us most days, like many kids, was a bowl of cornflakes or rice bubbles...and of course that also meant the joy of discovering the tiny toys which were often included in cereal packets. Many of Dad’s customers on his daily milk run who didn’t have kids of their own, collected their toys for me, and somewhere along the way, they earned themselves the name ‘Iki Oki’...and I had an impressive collection of Iki Oki’s! To this day I’ve no idea where the name came from...whether it was a customer, my Dad, or myself who nicknamed the tiny toys, but for me they'll forever be Iki Oki’s. It's one of my earliest childhood memories, and an especially fond one...so it seemed apt to name my kids brand 'Iki Oki Kids.' Thank you for joining me here.
