Thank you to the Newtown Chrisitan Church for offering the use of their restrooms to the public during this time! The Newtown Christian Church is on rural water and still has water.

The City of Newtown residents currently have no water due to a water leak on Main Street. The water tower is turned off to repair the leak today. We will notify everyone when the water leak has been repaired and the water has been turned on. Thank you for your cooperation!

To all Newtown Residents
Our boil order is still in place... As you may know we had a main water line break this week and the water to the entire town had to be turned off... They continue to flush and test our water, which could be affecting your pressure. We are hoping by next week we could receive the all clear... in the meantime continue to boil... Amy P.

Just so everyone is aware. We have a repairman coming hopefully Friday to repair the water leak on
W Broadway.. We have been aware of it but getting someone here timely is very difficult..
He is also scheduled that day to do some road and ditch work on Dunlap St so please have vehicles parked away from the road that day so work on it can be done.. Thank you..

Edit: Water is back on!

As I'm sure you have all noticed, the town's water is off. We are having some leaks fixed. We apologize for the lack of notice! The council was not informed of the day the leak was getting fixed. Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused! When the water is back on, please be aware that a boil order will likely be in affect. We will keep you updated as the situation plays out!
