Its harvest time at Leo's Permakulturhof Hittisau and they decided to share the job with the local school kids. It was a full-blown harvest party with creative workshops in pumpkin carving, recycling old t-shirts into tote bags, making sauer-kraut with harvested cabbages and the highlight..... Pizza making & baking!
We believe that in giving the future generations the opportunity to learn and have fun with their creativity, within the world of sustainable practice, is the most effective way to pass on the knowledge and allow them to understand it all for themselves. We are thrilled to have been able to give creative w/shops on sustainable practice and simply be a part of the party!

Coron is a idyllic island in the Philippines that has rapidly become a tourist hot spot. Like so many other ‘paradise’ destinations, Coron has taken quite an environmental hit as the growth of tourism surpasses the infrastructure (such as waste disposal) provided.
In the Coron Municipality, on Busuanga island, Charlie Labajo (Coron Tourguid) and his team from Precious Plastic Philippines is not only addressing the problem of waste on the island - they are CREATING something incredible because of it.
They are building an Eco Resort completely out of recycled trash and building material. Using Eco bricks and plastic bottles filled with plastic waste - putting the waste ‘to good use’
Charlie says : This project is a commitment to the environment and for the future of our motherland. I’m new to sustainable development and I believe in the saying ‘every small commitment to the environment is a big impact to the community’. CREATE TO SUSTAIN

Just let em BEE!
Bees are here to pollinate! They transfer pollen between flowering plants which keeps our life cycle turning.
BEE AWARE: Climate change, chemically treated food crop and negligence for the bee habitat has led to public and political concern that bee population is drastically declining and in some cases already endangered.

This is the time to recognise the huge impact these tiny creatures have on our natural environment. Plant a tree, throw some wild flower seeds in the garden, support your local organic honey producers or simply let them BEEs just BEE… 🐝

Leo is a permaculturist. He owns a permaculture farm on the Austrian hillsides--- Leo's Permakulturhof Hittisau --- where he not only grows his own food, but also holds workshops about sustainable farming and self sustainability.
Leo is also a enthusiastic bee keeper and in this episode, he talks about the purpose of pollination, how important it is to our survival and that it is the bee’s amongst other creatures, who are responsible for this very necessary natural process. When it comes to working in harmony with nature and preserving our ecosystem, Leo is THE MAN who knows his honey.

The reason for its near extinction is heart-breaking and absurd: its flesh is used to catch another fish that fuels a business in South America worth millions. The dead dolphins are nothing more than bait. However, two activists are working tirelessly to raise awareness: famous TV star Richard Rasmussen stirs up scandal and often hits the headlines in Brazil, while Colombian biologist Fernando Trujillo presents his government and the media with alarming facts. Their mission requires a great deal of courage, when it also attracts the wrath of others.
