A federal judge in Detroit has ordered the city's police to stop using batons, shields, gas, chokeholds, rubber bullets, or sound cannons against peaceful protesters for the next two weeks, according to reports.

The late Friday ruling granted a temporary restraining order to Detroit Will Breathe, a group that sued the city Monday, claiming excessive police force infringed on protesters' First Amendment rights, according to the Detroit Free Press.

U.S. District Court Judge Laurie Michelson’s order prohibits police from using force during protests without “probable cause.”

UPDATE: A child's body has been found in the search for Maliyah. While it is believed to be the remains of Maliyah, positive identification must still be made by the proper authorities. Please keep the family and friends of Maliyah in your thoughts and prayers.

2 year-old Maliyah Bass was last seen in the area of Beechnut Blvd. @ Wilcrest Blvd. in the west side of Houston, Texas on August 22nd 2020 at about 9:30 a.m. Maliyah also goes by the nickname of Tootie. Maliyah (Tootie) Bass was last seen wearing a multi-colored shirt and multi-colored shorts. Maliyah was carrying a pink & white pillow case with letter blocks inside. This is obviously a very difficult time for our family, and we ask that you respect our privacy as we wait further news with heavy hearts.”

UPDATE: This evening Lizzy was found in Arvada, Colorado and has been returned safely to her family.

We would like to thank the Arvada Police Department, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), the Denver Police Department, the Aurora Police Department and a local business. We would also like to thank the community for sharing the information on their social media platforms, as that assisted in us being able to successfully locate Lizzy.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: On Thursday, June 4, 2020, the Sheriff's Office took a report for missing and endangered juvenile, Elizabeth "Lizzy" McPherson, DOB: 08/02/03. Lizzy was last seen approximately 7:00 PM, on June 4, 2020, at the Greyhound bus station on Weber Street in Colorado Springs, carrying a camouflage back back. It is unknown if she boarded a bus, but if she did it is believed she may be headed to Texas.

Lizzy has special needs and will sometimes use the name Elizabeth or Lizzy Callis. She often wanders from home, but usually only for a few hours. She has been known to tell people she is homeless and will befriend individuals quickly.

Lizzy is approximately 4’11" tall, weighs 84 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes.
