Operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the EFCC, have arrested eighty (80) suspects for alleged internet- related activities in Ibadan, Oyo State. Forty (40) other suspects were arrested by operatives of the Enugu Zonal Command of the Commission for the same suspected offences. EFCC said the suspects were all arrested based on verified intelligence linking them with fraudulent internet activities.  Incriminating documents were found in 35 of the 80 suspects arrested in Ibadan and they are: Victor Abumere, Kehinde Samuel, Adedeji Ibrahim Olamilekan, Akinbowale Emmanuel, Taiwo Azeez, Adenuga Sunday, Sidiku Olubodun, Ekhuemelo Jerry, Agboola Khalid Babatunde, Alex Kelvin, Akande Jonah, Tobiloba Adekanye, Fatai Olalekan T., Giwa Babatunde David and Emmanuel Victor Mayowa. Others are: Taofeek Toheeb Olamilekan, Olamilekan Fafilolu Quadri, Olayinka Taiwo Olaniyi, Emmanuel Abiodun Olalekan, Awoleke Opeyemi Uthman, Ikenna Anyanwu Victor, Mosuro Daniel Oluwaseun, Amoo Abdulmalik Ademola, Oluwaseun Adeniran, Kehinde Kehinde Olatunji, Bakare Kayode Augustine, Okoli Propser, Kolawole Blessing, Okeolu Moshood, and Hammed Khalid Ayomide. The rest are: Hassan Waris Ademola, Taiwo Ademola, Adewale Ayomiposi, Abdullahi Maleek Olaniyi, Masika Adekunle Andrew. The suspects were arrested in various locations in Ibadan, Oyo State and items recovered from them include: thirteen (13) exotic cars, three (3) motor bikes and mobile phones and laptops of different brands. The 40 suspects arrested on March 29 and 30, 2022 in Enugu are: Chimezie Onyegwa, Chukwuebuka Jamespaul, Adams Nengi, Chibua Emmanuel. Mmoh Henry, Kingsly Obinna, Francis Alex, Nelson Chidiebere, Paschal Eze, Eke Emmanuel, Ezeme Johnpaul , Aroh Kenneth, Ugwu Darlington , Chukwuemeka Collins and Ejielo Ifeanyi, Others are: Justin Obidiwe, Chibuike Henry, Chukwuemeka Okafor, Osodiuru Prince, Nwachukwu Steven, kelekchukwu Ugwu, Ugwuoke Victor, Udeh Victor, Ekata Endurance, Ukpabi Evidence, Eze Obinna, Amobi Eya, Victor Joshua, Gabriel Noel and Chisom Ede Nnamuchi. The rest include Onwe Nnamdi,Okonkwo Somtochukwu, Nnaji Ifeanyi, Ezeagu Ifeanyi, Maduabuchi Nwangbo, Onyenamaya Tochukwu,Wisdom Solomon, Agu Chibuzor, Nwokoro

Teacher shares a letter she received from a special needs student

A school teacher took to her Twitter page to share a letter she received from a nonverbal special needs student.

In the letter, the student called the teacher ''the best'' and wished they had met earlier.

He added that he is just trying to get out of his "shy zone" and went ahead to drop his phone number so that they can talk sometimes.

Kwara government shuts Oyun batist high school after fresh violence over hijab

The Kwara State government has shut down Oyun Baptist Secondary School, Ijagbo in Oyun Local Government Area of the state after fresh violence erupted in the school over the use of hijab by Muslim students in the school.

The State Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, Sa’adatu Modibbo Kawu, announced the closure of the school in a statement issued on Thursday, Feb, 3, condemning the school management for the continued denial of the use of the hijab.

Prior to this, some parents had stormed the school to protest the rejection of their children at the school premises after they arrived at the school adorned in their hijabs. This also led youths of both faiths who visited the school to engage in a face-off before they were dispersed by security operatives.

Kawu said the incident was totally unacceptable and vowed that the state government will not tolerate such discrimination in any public institution in the state. He called for calm while directing the security agencies to investigate the incident and arrest anyone linked to the violence to serve as a deterrent to others.

This comes after the state government issued a warning to schools administrators in the state against imposing hijabs or berets on students.

UTME 2022: What to do while waiting for commencement of registration

The date for the commencement of the 2022 UTME/DE sales of form has been fixed for February 12th, 2022. It will last until 19th March 2022. Considering this, it is important that prospective UTME candidates know what is expected of them and get all the requirements ready before the registration kicks off. One of the keys to a smooth registration and success in every UTME is early preparation.

So this post will guide you on the few things you need to be doing at the moment while we wait for the commencement of the UTME sales of form and registration. 



1. Get your National Identification Number (NIN): Based on previous reports, NIN may likely be a compulsory requirement for the 2022 UTME/DE registration. 3. Know the School You Intend to Apply for: Just like in choosing a course, you need to equally know beforehand the institution you want to apply for. Your criteria in choosing one should be based on whether the school offers the course you intend to study, the admission requirements of the school, the school fees as well as other personal preferences e.g location etc

4.
