Life Update: After 8 years, I finished my bachelors degree!

Real talk ahead: since society seems to measure success in achievements like this, I've spent the last eight years painfully feeling the discrepancy between myself and everyone else in my life who followed the traditional path toward "success." To those who may also feel like they are in a similar position, I will tell you what I wish I heard: your life is not any less important if your path looks different than others and your worth does not depend on this.

This has taken me literal years to understand, and even would I thought I believed it, I would internalize every ounce of critisism and amplify to believe it as truth about myself. I always believed everything happened for a reason, but even that faith got real cloudy from time to time. I felt so far behind that there was no point in starting again. In all honesty, I still fight this feeling many days. However, over the past year, I spoke to so many wonderful people on and through this podcast that taught me that it is never too late. They taught me the power of hope and giving yourself the grace and kindness you show to others. I would never be in the position I am with this podcast if things went the way I wanted rather than the way I needed.

So, I want to thank every single one of you that has been on the show or listened for showing me the strength in vulnerability and helping me to believe in hope again. I couldn’t do this without you.
