This week we released our final episode of our first ever season! It’s been so much fun recording our first 6 episodes - we’ve learnt, we’ve laughed and we’ve spoken our minds.
Thank you so much for listening and being part of this journey! 🧡

We’re taking a little break before our second season comes out in May, while Moe continues to get stuck into her new job and Marns does her final exams.

We are so excited to share what we’ve got planned for season 2. Keep your eyes peeled for updates!

When we were at school Baroness Lawrence came in and spoke to us about her fight for justice for her son, Stephen. I remember so vividly the deep pain and suffering we saw in her as she spoke of losing her son and her fight for justice for him. The story of Stephen is one we must never forget; it should be a story which is remembered as having instigated real, lasting change.

On this day we remember the day that Stephen was killed and we commit to pursuing justice and change in our institutions.

We can't believe that on Monday we’re releasing our 6th and final episode of our first season of The Elephants in the Room. This week we're talking dating... in a pandemic.

Since the start of the pandemic, many areas of our lives have moved online, and romance has been no exception.
The number of people using sites like tinder and hinge has massively increased, and it seems like dating online is here to stay. Is online dating a good way to find love? If you’re not on a dating app are you missing out?

Join us on Monday morning for laughs, stories and, as ever, opinions on dating in 2021.

The UK press’ treatment of Meghan has once again raised the question of how it should be regulated.

The UK press (and particularly the tabloids) is infamous for its investigations, dramas, run-ins with celebrities and, in recent times, altercations with the royal family.

To what extent should the press be regulated? And how can this be done without inhibiting freedom of speech?

Swipe to find out a bit more about the UK Press and how it’s regulated...

Have you listened to our latest episode 🎧

Harry and Meghan’s story may feel like a faraway fairytale that has no real implications for us. ✨

But for many of us the narratives that came up in the interview relates to situations and feelings that are played out across the UK.

Our latest episode is out now! The Meghan and Harry interview undoubtedly stirred up a lot of feeling in a lot of people, and we want to unpack why it resonated with so many.

Forget the speculation and the gossip that has surrounded their interview, whether you disagree with their decision to do the interview in the first place, or you're their biggest fan, we want to look deeper into the real issues that were raised, and open up a productive conversation going forward.

What’s in a name..?
Our name has 3 main threads.
1. Elephant and Castle is a landmark of SE London and it’s almost directly between where each of us grew up. We spent many a journey to school passing through the roundabout.

2. The E&C shopping centre shut its doors in October 2020, for it to be demolished and redeveloped as part of a £3billion ‘regeneration scheme’. This was a sad moment for both of us, so the name pays tribute to this much-loved icon and addresses the reality of gentrification that led to its demolition.

3. Finally, there’s the obvious idiomatic meaning: we hope that our podcast will tackle topics that are not always easy to talk about. We want to face the elephants in the room!

Meet the hosts: Moe and Marns! We’ve been friends for over 10 years, since we met at school when we were 11 years old 😅👵 Since then lots has changed (like hopefully some of our fashion choices) but some things haven’t, like how much we love to chat.
We both have a lot to say and there’s a lot in the world to discuss... what better place to start than between friends? We can’t wait to welcome you in to our conversations.
Trailer coming soon.
