We are so excited to welcome Sara Elisa y Familia to The Far Forest for a special performance THIS SUNDAY! Vocalist Sara Elisa, joined by Natalie Depergola, Melissa Petrescue, and Patty Kenoly, as well as Sara’s parents will be at Far Forest to share Sara’s original music as well as songs from her childhood in Medellin.

Sara Elisa grew up surrounded by a diversity of latin rhythms, classical music rehearsals, and lush nature in her childhood home in Medellin, Colombia. Her dad is a classical cellist and her mom, a Colombian guitarist and singer. From a young age, music was community and community was music. She went on to become a professional opera singer and learned different ways music can be expressed, but using music as a tool to connect to the deepest parts of herself and the world around her is something Sara continually seeks.

In her songs, she goes into the darkest places and explores all the beauty and understanding that is waiting to be discovered. Her music touches themes of cultural identity, loss, separation, female empowerment, family, freedom, repressed rage, and spirituality. Sara invites those who resonate to take that journey with her.

Entry will be donation-based and you can reserve a spot with a donation through Venmo at or at the door. Hope to see you there!

• Weds 4/10 - Miami quartet Abstract Citizen and St. Pete mainstays La Lucha are live at The Far Forest. Tickets are up $25 at the door.
• Friday 4/12 - The Sarasota Jazz Project performs live Cafe BarBosso, accompanied by live showings of the films of Federico Fellini. 6:30-9pm, free entry.
• Sat 4/13 - Brandee Younger is live at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, tickets are $40 and include bar and table seating. Get tickets at tickets.drphillipscenter.org.
• Sat 4/13 - The Mutant Fusion Collective is back live at Dunedin Brewery - come here the best in jazz-rock this Saturday night! Free entry, from 8-11pm.
