Award winning creative director and designer, Ernie Cefalu is not afraid to shed light on the design of Black Sabbath's LP "Sabbath, Bloody Sabbath" and what happened to the original design. It is a beautiful, dark story that you do not want to miss, but never fear because Ernie and I will guide you.

Saturday Night - Retro Country, Live 365 - 8 to 11 p.m. (Eastern Time)

Leave the stress of the day behind and let's rock together on "The Block Party"

It's a salute to the organ and how this great instrument played a part in rock and roll, R&B and soul. You were hear artists like Jon Lord, Billy Preston, Augie Meyers and more.

Hour Two - Award winning creative director and designer, Ernie Cefalu is just amazing. You will hear about an artist whose voice was absolutely beautiful and how legendary producer Bones Howell believed in her. Ernie and I will EXPOSE you to the talent of Cheryl Ernst and how Ernie and Bones played a part in her LP "ALWAYS BEGINNING".

Hours Two and Three - It is a tribute to Doug Ingle who iwas the last surviving member of the classic lineup of "Iron Butterfly". Doug followed in his dad's footsteps when it came to the organ and he brought that signature sound to "Iron Butterfly" in addition to having one of the most soulful voices that made "Iron Butterfly" light, heavy and in my words absolutely astounding.

Come join us tonight where rock and roll and its connections are waiting for YOU. Thanks for your love and support.

SATURDAYS 8-11 P.M. (Eastern Time)

Come join me tonight on "The Block Party" where we honor rock and roll along with YOU and the artists.

Hour One - A salute and remembrance of one of rock and roll's all time great, veteran drummers. Paying tribute to John Barbata whose persona and drumming talent were a part of many great bands. This hour we feature J***y's performances with "The Turtles" and remember those fun TV appearances with J***y conducting the band and dusting his drums.

Hour Two - Award winning creative director and designer, Ernie Cefalu makes us feel like kids again as we continue our series "The Cutting Room Floor" on "Ernie's Corner". Ernie designed a very unique package for Disney involving Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs that did not make it, but the logo he created remained. Ernie also has me digging out a special collector's LP from Disney that was introduced in 1968 that survived to this day.

Hour Three - Paying tribute to a special Tommy James fan, continuing our salute to John Barbata and focusing on his time with Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young along with the Jefferson Airplane and Jefferson Starship plus many side and solo projects involving Graham Nash and more. The Guess Who also tip the hat to J.P. Richardson, the Big Bopper.

Meet us on "The Block Party" where it is a rock and roll gathering of friends.

Saturday Nights from 8-11 p.m. (Eastern Time)

April showers bring May flowers, but the "Block Party" gives you rock and roll, friendship, light, art and so much more.

Hour One - Catching up on more May birthdays that include one of rock and roll's greatest showmen who also captivated fans in jazz, folk, pop and more. It's a birthday salute to Bobby Darin. Also, we have a "Mystery Thread" of two singers that tipped that hat to another birthday guy who was not only a mod dresser (one of the "Mystery Singers" was "Mod"), but also a great singer-songwriter and that's Donovan

Hour Two - Award winning creative director and designer, Ernie Cefalu proved that youth and energy made for a project that many seasoned veterans would have found formidable, but Ernie was up to the challenge. Ernie will be sharing all about the "Gold Dust Jazz" series that he co-designed with Jim Doyle. Even if you are not a jazz fan, Ernie shares lots of amazing history about the genre along with some backstage stories.

Hour Three - We feature a beautiful lady that wrote about "Gold Dust" who made history with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Happy birthday to Stevie Nicks whose voice and songwriting continue to delightfully haunt us.

It's a rock and roll gathering of friends on "The Block Party" and YOU are an important part.

Saturday Night - 8-11 p.m. (Eastern Time)

Hope you had a chance to experience those beautiful northern lights. Such a sight to behold. Now, let's get to the astounding world of sound especially rock and roll through the decades.

Twang is beautiful! Duane Eddy brought that magic of his guitar to so many great records and you will hear that a DJ who later became a producer was part of his early collaboration along with a vocal group.

Hour Two - Talk about sights that capture the imagination. Ernie Cefalu does that each week on "Ernie's Corner" and we travel through the northern lights with Ernie into a time tunnel of electrifying album covers and Ernie shares about a rock and roll publication that many were not aware of plus he remembers that wonderful article that Ivor Levene wrote about Pacific Eye and Ear in "Goldmine".

Hour Three - Remembering another great instrumentalist who brought out the uniqueness of a band along with the many musicians who were a part of ELO along with the fabulous Jeff Lynne. It's a tribute to Richard Tandy!

Also a mystery singer with a kind heart and great talent whom we miss. Looking forward to meeting you on "The Block Party".

Wow, do we have a rock and roll extravaganza on tonight's "Block Party", but most of all, it is a rock and roll gathering of friends and YOU are a big part of the music.

Hour One - Honoring 1966 and that was the year we came to know Tommy James and the Shondells when "Hanky Panky" went to the top of the charts. It is a birthday celebration paying tribute to a performer and friend who was a major inspiration in my decision to share the music as a broadcaster.

Hour Two - Award winning creative director and designer, Ernie Cefalu shares about the heroes in his life who were the pebbles that started the avalanche and he has unearthed an album and band that created a project honoring Buddy Holly and many never knew about that them, but they were respected in England. I also give Ernie a new title.

Hour Three - Remembering Mike Pinder who was the last surviving member of the original lineup of the Moody Blues with Denny Laine and Mike was a master of an electro-mechnical instrument that gave the Moody Blues their signature sound as the years went by.

It is heroes (let me know some of yours), music, pebbles, and most of all rock and roll with YOU as an important part. It's "The Block Party". P.S. A new May show for "Rockabilly Haven" right before.

Come join me TONIGHT on "The Block Party" on Retro Country, Live 365 from 8-11 p.m. (Eastern Time)

Hour One - The saxophone gave rock and roll that bit of snazz and of course, it was respected in Jazz. We have a mystery sax player who recently celebrated a birthday. I have seen him several times in concert and later on in his career, he became a "prince".

Hour Two - Award winning creative director and designer, Ernie Cefalu shares about two of the most respected brothers in Jazz and both of them influenced many in rock and roll. Ernie shares him memories of "Cannonball" Adderley and his brother, Nat Adderley. Was reading that Nat "played on nearly 100 albums as a leader and sideman." Ernie once again shares how destiny in his career led him and Pacific Eye and Ear to design on of the most beautiful LP covers for Nat's "Hummin" and he also shares Nat's heartfelt reaction to the design.

Hour Three - We remember of the most respected singer/songwriter/guitarists and a key figure in southern rock whose presence is already deeply missed - Remembering Dickey Betts along with his great contributions with the Allman Brothers Band, Great Southern and the Dickey Betts Band.

It's all for YOU and never forget YOUR contribution to the music. It's "The Block Party".

It's Saturday and we invite you to join us for a rock and roll gathering of friends tonight on "The Block Party".

Hour One - He was an early touring act with the Beatles when they came to the U.S. in 1964. Remembering Clarence "Frogman" Henry whose autograph I have and cherish. Clarence was often branded as a novelty act for his hit "Ain't Got No Home" , but he was much more. He was one of the New Orleans greats along with Fats Domino and hits like (I Don’t Know Why) But I Do,” which charted in 1961 and “You Only Hurt the Ones You Love,” were part of his legacy.

Hour Two - On Ernie's Corner, award winning creative director and designer, Ernie Cefalu shares how westerns, rope and inspiration came together to create a stellar design for the southern band "Cowboy". Ernie also shares about Dickey Betts, the Allman Brothers, Phil Walden and Capricorn records.

Hour Three - "Classic Rock and Then Some" features Grand Funk, Blondie, Billy Joe, Ellen Foley, Tommy James and more.

You are an important part of the music and thank you for your love and supprt. Let's rock!!

Wishing Ernie Cefalu a happy birthday. I am so honored and proud to have Ernie as a major part of "The Block Party" on our segment "Ernie's Corner". Ernie has contributed his art and vision on many of the album covers by artists both famous and ones you probably never knew about and he brought that creative vision to the corporate world. Love you Ernie. Kilroy was probably here, but I will take Ernie.

You are invited to join me tonight on "The Block Party". We are celebrating the fun and let's add the beautiful craziness of rock and roll. It's a salute to the anniversary of the recording of Richard Berry's "Louie, Louie" back in April of 1963 for the Kingsmen and Paul Revere and the Raiders. Grab your beer, wine , tea or cola as we hear the many great covers of the song and do some rabble rousing.

Hour Two - Speaking of a revelation, Ernie Cefalu treats us to a great back story regarding the inspiration behind one of the most delightfully "Mad" posters and art involving Alice Cooper's "Madhouse Rock Tour". You will learn about how German illustrator, Henrich Kley comes into play with the one and only Alice Cooper and the one and only Ernie.

Hour Three - Classic Rock and then some as we feature artists from Julian Lennon to the Flamin Groovies.

All we need is YOU. Without you, there is no rock and roll. It's "The Block Party".

Come join me tonight on "The Block Party".

Hour One - Celebrating another great Renaissance man of music who just recently celebrated a milestone birthday. He also announced his retirement from many years of entertaining and the accolades from respected fellow performs and songwriters like Smokey Robinson and Barry Mann can be see on his page. Happy birthday to Tony Orlando! Before his fun time with Telma and Joyce, Tony took a Barry Mann song to the top 20 of the charts in 1961.

Hour Two - Award winning creative director and designer, Ernie Cefalu treats us to "Looking Back - Part 2". It seems that a vintage truck made its way into the picture for Ernie's company, Pacific Eye and Ear and it was a favorite of a former member of "Iron Butterfly".

Hour Three - Classic Rock and Then Some. From the "Small Faces" to "Humble Pie" to Steven Tyler to Tommy James and more.

April is in full swing and all we need is YOU and some rock and roll. Catch you tonight on Retro Country - Live 365.
