An afternoon of bold flavors and beautiful fusion!✨

As part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, i went to the .melb x .melbourne one day event where a Melbourne Filipino and a Peruvian restaurant teamed up to create a stunning three-course culinary experience. 🇵🇭🇵🇪

What made it so special? Both Filipino and Peruvian cuisines share deep roots in cultural fusion—drawing from Spanish and and Indigenous influences. It was like tasting the history and soul of two countries in every bite.

From kinilaw-meets-ceviche, every dish was creative, comforting, and so satisfying 😍.

The standout dishes for me was the Spanish mackerel kinilaw, barramundi with the enocado sauce and the leche flan with the Tanduay rum caramel 🙌❤️

Finding Filipino Taho at Dandenong Market 🤩

For those who haven't tried it yet, taho is a Filipino treat made with silky soft silken tofu, sweet syrup (called sago or the original brown sugar syrup), and chewy tapioca pearls. It's the ultimate breakfast or snack that hits the spot every time – warm or cold, sweet, and totally addictive! 🤩

So we were super excited when we found at 🎉

We had to try four flavours which included the OG (brown sugar syrup), ube, peach mango and pandan. And it was divine and totally made us reminisce our time in the Philippines 🇵🇭

It will be last weekend at Dandenong Market so definitely visit before they leave! Otherwise check out their page to keep track of where they are next 😀

Been thoroughly impressed with the menu at at 😍 and a great spot for a sit down brunch and lunch.

With offerings from small dishes, sangas and toasties and larger plates, the hardest part is deciding what to order 😆

Their service is quick, which means I can have a quick lunch!

Dishes featured includes:
🥐 Salmon Croissant {$14}
🥗 Quinoa and Pumpkin Salad {$19}
🌮 Tempura Fried Ling Fish Tacos {$19}

always in the mood for dessert 🍨🍰

A quick search in Google and we found this dessert spot in our neighbourhood that we have never been to!

is a great spot to hang out for desserts, play pool or watch sports.

We ordered an acai bowl with kinderella sauce and pistachio crumble and nutella shake 😍 both were so so good that Linc already wants to return for another shake!

Other desserts on offer includes waffles, dutch pancakes, greek donuts as well as smoothies, shakes and coffee 🧇🥞 ☕️

Enjoying a delightful dinner at Stamford Park Homestead in Rowville—where good food meets beautiful surroundings! 🍽️✨

Just had the most enchanting dinner at ❤️✨️ We came here in on a Wednesday night where they had their "complimentary entree or dessert with a main meal" and not only was it a fantastic deal, but the food was top notch!

We ordered:
🐄 Braised Beef Shortrib ($36)
🥘 Tex Mex Style Parma ($29)
🐠 Salmon ($36)
🦀 Crab Cake (complimentary, $26)
🍏 Apple Tartatin (complimentary, $16)
🍸 Negroni ($20)
🍷Borgo Maragliano 'La Caliera' Moscato d'Asti DOCG ($13)

But it’s the whimsical interiors that truly stole the show—vintage decor and cozy nooks that made the evening feel magical. Perfect for a special night out or a casual dinner with friends! Can't wait to return. ✨🍽️

modern vietnamese in Aspendale ✨️

we went to on a Tuesday night and we can tell that it is a popular local spot with how busy the restaurant was on a weekday 😍

The restaurant is cosy but does not feel crowded or busy, especially when you are seated in a booth.

🎉 Banh Xeo- pancakes with salad mix, vietnamese herbs, caramalised nuoc cham with prawns

🎉 BTN Bowl- vermicelli noodle, mixed herbs, salad, cucumbers, picked carrots, dried shallots and nuoc cham with grilled lemon grass chicken

🎉 Vietnamese Lamb Shanks with Sweet Potatoes {Not pictured, forget to take a photo 😅}

🎉 Char Sui Pork Belly with Slaw

🎉 Vietnamese Iced Coffee
