Hi there! I wanted to introduce myself to any new followers of Cut+Paste Magazine.

I'm Megan, the owner and editor-in-chief. I started this magazine in 2022 during a caffeine-fueled burst of inspiration, and I've enjoyed learning and growing with it ever since.

I have two amazing artists for sisters and many other friends and acquaintances with art and photography talent. I wouldn't fall in that category myself, but I do appreciate their work and have loved being able to showcase it and other creators' work in this way.

I'm newly married to one of the first Cut+Paste cheerleaders and an all-around amazing man, and we're both enjoying this new chapter in our lives as we build our first house and get to spend each day together.

I grew up on a farm and am so blessed to have had an appreciation for God's artistry in creation instilled in me for years now. I'm barefoot as much as possible, and you'll rarely find me in anything other than jeans. It's a 45 minute drive to my studio/office right now but it's all back roads and full of wildflowers and turtles crossing the roads, and the drive home can be perfect after a hectic work day.

Entrepreneurship is my passion. I've come to love the creativity involved in running a business over the past five years of owning various small businesses. The day-to-day upkeep and problem-solving have stretched me in ways I'm so thankful for.

All of that falls into a very secondary category of my identity. My truest and deepest identity, the "about me" that matters most, is who I am because of my Savior. He is the one who has saved me from the constant hold of sin and self-trust. He is the one I need when the rest of my identity just isn't enough. Because Jesus has defeated death and claimed me as His, everything I do must be for Him first. May He take this business that I run and use it for His good purposes and glory.

This collage wall is exactly the type of thing that first brought the idea of Cut+Paste magazine to mind. Moodboards, inspiration walls, and the like are wonderful additions to spaces but it can be a pain to try to find enough pieces for them.

But that’s just what Cut+Paste is for. Pages & pages of inspiration printed at high-quality on high-quality paper, ready for you to cut up and create that inspiration board with.

Hey there, I'm Megan! I wanted to give a little intro to the person behind the magazine for those of you who are new here.

I started Cut+Paste in February of 2022 and it's been quite the ride since the first thought of this magazine popped into my head.

I've always loved starting businesses and the creative side of entrepreneurshi, and Cut+Paste has been the most exciting thing that's come out of that so far. It was possible through skills I had picked up by starting other businesses, and has taught me far more than I ever guessed it would.

A couple of the hats I wear as the Cut+Paste owner are packaging & shipping, customer service, magazine design, website upkeep, & social media manager. Right now I've been spending most of my Cut+Paste time at my desk, working on our next issue, "Travel".

I also run and .thrift , work part time at my local coffee shop, and work (very) part time for my church. There's a lot to be done in life, and it tends to add up when you love starting businesses. :)

The biggest part of my life right now is working towards my wedding and getting to marry my best friend in the beginning of May! (He's also been a supporter of Cut+Paste since the very beginning, even before we were dating. He's my biggest cheerleader and I'm so thankful for him.)

These posts always get too long, but if you've found all this interesting enough to still be here, then know this: all of that up there? Those are just little details about who I am.

I love being an entrepreneur, magazine editor, and fiance, but my identity as a child of God makes everything else pale in comparison. He is the one who saves me from the chains of sin, the one who blesses me with and guides me through every opportunity, and the one who brings the most beauty and joy to my life by growing me in my love for and knowledge of Him. I see lots of beauty when I page through these little magazines I get to create, but the best of it is only a glimmer of the beauty of my Maker.

Cut+Paste wasn't dreamed up because I wanted to start a magazine, but because I wanted a way to have all the visual art that I typically just scrolled through be available in tangible ways to beautify "real world" spaces.

So when I say that it's a magazine that's made to be cut up, I really mean it. Here's to bringing your favorite creators' work to your own creative projects for two years & counting!
