I Just Wanna Have Nothin' To Do, by The Nuclears

Goodness gracious! The Nuclears rock so hard! Their track - I Just Wanna Have Nothin To Do - is radical! It's fantastic! It's a third thing to finish this list! I hope you enjoy it, because if you don't...you might be a soulless vampire type.

And as always...if you enjoy this song and have the means, buy the whole compilation. Proceeds go to Artist Relief Tree supporting working artists who have lost their income due to the pandemic.

The boss is making moves...thanks to Carlo Minchillo and Brooklyn Drum Collective for including Josh in this project.

Quarantine Collection - Josh Inmanâ €

“During normal times, I keep myself busy with multiple music projects. I rehearse multiple times a week. I go to and/or play several shows per month. Generally speaking music accounts for most of my real life social interaction.⠀
â €
As things started shutting down, I glibly thought that this would be short, and we would be back at it before anyone really noticed things had changed. I (somewhat jokingly) suggested throwing together a "Quarantine Compilation" when people were first starting to stay home, but as things got more serious and strange, the compilation seemed to become more and more necessary. â €
â €
My musician friends needed a distraction, and something to look forward to, and I needed a project that would help me fill the void left by the lack live music. I thought it would be a small fun project that would just kill some time, but the project grew and it became more meaningful. People I didn't know started to join the ranks of some of my close friends, and the project started taking on a life of its own. â €
â €
Getting people to come together to work out their creative impulses, and create a small document of our experience has been really rewarding, and I hope I can maintain the momentum once we can all get back together.â €
â €
P.S. - I can't wait to play drums again.”⠀

Progress on the Homefront, by Memento Mori

Oh my goodness! This track - Progress on the Homefront by Memento Mori is nuts! The recording process sounds arduous:

"..I convinced a core group of my friends to record a part to this track and send them to me blindly, without any notion of what anyone else was doing. The result was a bit of a mixing fiasco that ultimately yielded something super unified" says Freddie Wyss.

I can attest that this is definitely something to hear!

VIDEO REVIEW: Onesie - "Unsolved Miseries"

Thanks to Indicate Interest for the mention! And they are absolutely correct in saying that Onesie's song and video Unsolved Miseries both rule!

VIDEO REVIEW: Onesie - "Unsolved Miseries" “It was the great pandemic of 2020,”, you’ll tell your grandchildren. “When everyone stayed inside and burnt out their Netflix queues.” “Is that why we have to wear masks all the time?” “Yes, Tigon.” (Your grandson is named Tigon.) “But ...

The Vagabond, by Michael Guggino and Freaky Wilderness

Do not sleep on The Vagabond by Michael Guggino and Freaky Wilderness. Inspired by Agnès Varda's The Vagabond (Sans Toit Ni Loi). This song is truly great! Also check Mike's new podcast Does It Suck, Now? it is extremely entertaining.

Loudd | Onesie | Unsolved Miseries [video]

This cool Italian publication - Loudd wrote something about Onesie, and mentioned us in the process! I wish I spoke Italian so I could tell what they said, but I'm pretty sure it's positive.

Exciting stuff in the works!

In the last week we've raised some money for Artist Relief Tree, but keep pushing the comp! Has your mother bought one yet?

Vol. 2 of the Quarantine Compilation is well on it's way, we have some submission already, and I got the artwork together today. Everyone get those songs in!

About Shred City Presents

On March 15th, just as the outbreak was reaching New York, Josh Inman (self styled "Mayor of Shred City") wrote a tongue in cheek post in his social media asking simply "Who wants to start the "Quarantine Comp" of bedroom tapes?" adding "This should be documented somehow." Little did he know how eagerly his fellow musicians, mostly friends from the Brooklyn DIY indie rock scene, would join the cause. Acting with haste, Josh started making arrangements, creating artwork, and collecting emails of prospective artists.

On April 15th Volume 1 of the Quarantine Compilation was released.
