Just a word on the name - Wendi came up with "FlatwaterHouse" in our whitewater kayaking days. We feel that you've already "run the rapids" by learning to play, writing songs, and putting it all together. Recording should be a time to relax and tell your story. The studio should never be the hardest part of the river.
