Public school Superintendents are paid handsomely. Fort Worth ISD Superintendent, Angelica Ramsey, is paid an annual salary of $337,484. This doesn't include the benefits and other perks she receives. We have a question to our readers...Is she worth it?

Northwest, Birdville, Eagle Mountain-Saginaw, Fort Worth and Grapevine-Colleyville superintendents are among the highest paid in Tarrant County.

Three high ranking Fort Worth ISD employees are gone and headed south to work for La Joya ISD, the south Texas border school district that was taken over by the Texas Education Agency (TEA) this past February. Makes sense since the TEA appointed former FWISD Chief of Academics Marcey Sorensen.

The TEA had investigated La Joya ISD following years of school board members and employees engaging in fraud and breaking conflict of interest law.. The TEA also appointed a Board of Managers, to replace the Board of Trustees.

The three FWISD employees leaving and heading south to join former FWISD Chief of Academics are:
-Jodie Crystal Adair, Principal at Harlean Beal Elementary for 6 years and an employee of the FWISD for 21 years.
-Joseph Niedziela, FWISD Director of Humanities, with the district since 2005.
-Mirgitt Crestor, FWISD Senior Officer (Grants & Development) with the district since 2005.

Things must really be bad in the FWISD to leave and go to one of the most corrupt Schoo districts in Texas.

The Fort Worth ISD sent an email out yesterday to families and are aware of a “planned walkout” during attendance period today.

Tarrant4Change is “calling all students” for a district wide walkout to support the Palestinian Liberation Movement.

Former Fort Worth ISD Council of PTAs President Alexander Montalvo is an an administrator for the Tarrant4Change page. Another former FWISD Coumcilmof PTAs President and current Regional Director for Leadership ISD Tarrant County Ken Kuhl is a possible supporter of Tarrant4Change.

Is this what they support? Is Leadership ISD on board with this? is Texas PTA on board with this? This is a politically motivated demonstration and for Tarrant4Change to be encouraging students in this anti Semitic demonstration shows that these groups are politically motivated in everything they do. The only reason the FWISD probably has a problem with it is because it’s during attendance period and they will lose money.

Alexander Montavlo and Ken Kuhl were also present with the group of demonstrators that stormed Tobi Jackson FWISD Board Trustee - District 2 house a couple years ago and staged a mock funeral in response to the masking/non masking of students.

The Fort Worth ISD Administration, Trustees, a few parents and would love to see FWISD Watchdog ride off into the sunset. We will if the following two things happen:
1. Trustees amend board policy to not take campaign contributions from any vendor or PAC, as well as putting a $500 cap on any single campaign contribution.
2. 3rd grade reading comprehension surpasses 50% in the FWISD.

Pretty fair we think. The first one is the easiest one. It won’t happen because these Trustees, most of them, know they wouldn’t get elected. That is our offer.

14/11/2023

Can the Fort Worth ISD Athletic Program get back to its winning ways with an Athletic Director that had worked with in the past and possibly made sure his wife got a job as part of the deal to him taking the job?

The FWISD saw every team in Volleyball and Football make an immediate exit from the University Interscholastic League playoffs this year. The 4 FWISD football teams lost by a total of 153-58. The volleyball teams only managed to win 3 sets out of the 18 played.

Why are FWISD athletics performing so badly for the last 8 years? Lack of facilities and funding is the reason which has led to student athletes leaving in droves for truly greener pastures. The Trustees fail to see this and probably don’t care. They love to have their picture taken at a board meeting with a team that made it to the playoffs but are they there to support them in the stands. The buck stops there, literally.

It is being rumored that the FWISD will no longer have a school classified as 6A. R.L. R.L. Paschal High School has lost so many students that it will be dropping to 5A, possibly putting them back in to battle it out with Arlington Heights High School - FWISD in district competition.

Attendance has been low for years now at games and with the rumors swirling of a Texas Education Agency takeover of the FWISD or vouchers passing will athletics in the FWISD even happen if that takes place. Surrounding school districts know that athletics has a place in public education and those other districts put more of an emphasis on athletics as well as other extra curricular activities that students can participate in.

Texas Wesleyan University, who partners with FWISD in many aspects. Their football team was playing their home football games at Farrington Field until their new stadium would be completed. They now have moved to playing home games at the new Crowley ISD 8,000 seat Mulri-Purpose Stadium. The FWISD isn’t just losing students and athletes, it’s also losing partners looking for a better option. Wonder if Executive Director Mia Hall had anything to do with the Rams moving to play further away that just down the road? In case you didn’t know our FWISD Executive Director, Mia Hall, is also a Crowley ISD Trustee.

We ask the public if Roxanne Martinez, FWISD Trustee, District 9 has acted in an unethical manner.

Many of our Trustees are involved with or have their own nonprofits. Ms. Martinez is involved with the Diamond Hill-Jarvis Heritage Foundation, the DHJ Athletics Booster Club and the Diamond Hill North Side Youth Association.

The Diamond Hill North Side Youth Association (DHNSYA)list their mailing address as P.O. Box 162253, the same mailing address Ms.Martinez has listed as her Trustee mailing address. The DHNSYA’s website was also developed by Roxstar Marketing, Trustee Martinez’s company.

Back in August 2022, the board voted to award Girls Inc. of Tarrant County $150,000. Trustee Martinez voted “YES”. Shouldn’t she have recused herself from the vote since GIrl’s Inc. is or was a client? According to Roxstar Marketing’s website, Trustee Martinez’s marketing company designed The webpage for Girl’s Inc.

The last concern is that Trustee Martinez’s campaign treasurer is Gerald Shelbon. The two are not married to our knowledge but we have been told that they do live together. Mr. Shelbon is also the Program Director of DHNSYA and Trustee Martinez is President of the Board of Directors. Mr. Shelbon was also on the 2020-2021 Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School Site Based Committee listed as a Community Representative. Trustee Martinez was also on the Site Based Committee.mr. Shelbon would later become a paid employee at DHJ making $31,382. We were told by a parent that Mr.Shelbon was also a coach on the sidelines during football games.

The question is did Trustee Martinez use her position to influence or facilitate in any way getting Mr. Shelbon a paid position at the school? Why did she vote on an agenda item instead of recusing herself when the Vendor was a company she had dealings with? Is it wise for Trustee Martinez to use campaign contribution funds by making donations to nonprofit organizations she is a part of?

Is this why the Fort Worth ISD made the move to MacBooks?

Remember that the man that brought the MacBooks to the classrooms of the FWISD, Marion Shears, was recently terminated. He was from Dallas ISD just like Dr. Olga Romero, Executive Director of Elementary School Leadership.

Read below...

Is a hybrid learning program coming to the Fort Worth ISD?

Watchdog thinks so. One of the new hires by Dr. Ramsey is Dr. Olga Romero. We are pretty certain this is the same Dr. Olga Romero, principal at Dallas Hybrid Prep at Dallas ISD. Is the and Dr. Ramsey planning a hybrid form of education in hopes of bringing back students to the FWISD?

Dr. Romero stated to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram (FWST) that in order to make the hybrid system work, the Dallas school had to make sure that all students had access to the technology they needed to learn, including MacBooks and WiFi connections. Could this be why the FWISD is making the move from Chromebooks to MacBooks.

FWISD is very cryptic on whether it would offer hybrid learning. According to FWISD spokesperson Claudia Garibay, who stated to the FWST “we will continue to monitor the current legislative session to see if funding opportunities become available for a hybrid learning model and look forward to learning from and supporting our peers in Dallas.”

It's coming parents, teachers and taxpayers. The FWISD reads like a See Dick & Jane book. Read the article by clicking on the link below.

This past September The Fort Worth ISD Board of Trustees voted to terminate the employment of two FWISD high school principals. The principals were James Garcia (Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School) and Katrina Smith (Eastern Hills High School).

According to a Fort Worth Star-Telegram article, the two terminated principals have filed appeals with the Texas Education Agency. The Trustees weren't unanimous in their decision to terminate. Roxanne Martinez, FWISD Trustee, District 9 abstained from voting on the termination of both Garcia and Smith. Tobi Jackson FWISD Board Trustee - District 2 abstained on the vote to terminate Smith.

The Trustees know why the two principals were terminated. Start connecting the dots in the district for the last decade.

04/11/2023

The Fort Worth Report had a story yesterday titled “Black Students in Fort Worth ISD Still Strugle to Read at Grade Level”. Why is that and why has it been like this for so long?

Former Superintendent Kent Scribner couldn’t fix the problem. It hasn’t gotten better under the dictatorship of Angelica Ramsey, aka . Even the Quinton "Q" Phillips for FWISD led Racial Equity Committee (REC) or My Brothers Keeper has done nothing in the last 8 years to improve black students to read at grade level.

The REC is the only Fort Worth ISD Committee that has closed meetings and is shrouded in secrecy. Why? Trustees, in a 7-2 vote, extended the My Brother’s Keeper program’s $255,000 contract this past August. How are they helping students in the classroom?

The FWISD throws money into programs and committees that do nothing to improve test scores, reading comprehension or student outcomes.

Hold Dr. Ramsey accountable for what she is paid twice as much as Texas Governor Greg Abbott. Parents have to get involved in their children’s education in order for them to be successful.

03/11/2023

According to a source within the Fort Worth ISD 87% of students were in attendance today. The absenteeism seemed to be more with teachers, faculty and subs.

Messages we received stated that 36 teachers and 236 students were absent at O. D. Wyatt High School.
33 teachers and 267 students at South Hills High School
22 teachers at R.L. Paschal High School
25 teachers at Leadership Academy at Forest Oak Middle School
12 teachers at Western Hills High School

One FWISD employee stated that the principal encouraged staff to put in for subs today to show the need for the FWISD Administration to cancel classes today. A post on Quick community News showed that J.P. Elder Middle School had 7 classes of students sitting in the auditorium doing nothing because of a shortage of teachers.

Now apparently the FWISD has approved for FWISD staff to stream the parade coverage in classrooms. Tell and Dr. Camille Rodriguez that we will get them a shirt out here. Those two seem to be be getting close friends.

We are so excited that the Texas Rangers are World Champions! To win the World Series is a monumental achievement!
Due to the number of staff absences that have already been reported to us in transportation, child nutrition, and classrooms, coupled with a concern about having enough substitutes districtwide, we have decided it is in the best interest of the District to make tomorrow, Friday, November 3, 2023, a student and staff holiday.

02/11/2023

Again the Fort Worth ISD and Dr. Ramsey, aka , get it wrong. The FWISD didn’t close a school when a murder had taken place, so why would they close schools for a celebration.

Watchdog is getting overwhelmed with messages from teachers and parents about this. One teacher stated that Smartfind already has teachers submitting that they will be absent tomorrow. Will and her buddy Dr. Camille Rodriguez be hard at work tomorrow or will someone snap a pic of them celebrating?

Here is a list of school district closing tomorrow:
Arlington ISD, Irving Isd, Grand Prairie ISD, Mansfield ISD, Granbury ISD, Kennedale ISD

Parents are blowing up the page basically saying their kid won’t be at school tomorrow. Maybe the slogan for the FWISD should be We Don’t Close for Homicides or Championships.

02/11/2023

Last November the Fort Worth ISD Superintendent, Angelica Ramsey aka , made a speech to a predominantly Latina crowd in which she stated the following:
“Whatever B.S. we want to call it, the truth is that black, brown and poor kids in this country do not get the education they deserve because we are in a system that wasn’t built for us. We integrated into their system, not the other way around. We have to reinvent the system”.

Later after a post Watchdog made two days ago about Dr. Camille Rodriguez, FWISD Board President, using campaign funds to purchase $800 in Texas Ranger tickets for “volunteers” a young man made the comment that stated:
“There’s nothing y’all can do to stop it, Hispanics are coming for your jobs”.

Maybe that is exactly what Dr. Ramsey and others are doing. The first people in the FWISD Administration to lose their jobs were all white...Todd Vessely (Athletic Director), Joseph Coburn (Chief Of Operations), Marcey Sorenson (Chief Academic Officer) and Jerry Moore (Chief Of Schools).

Ramsey has given over 10 jobs to her cronies from Midland ISD and Socorro Independent School District. It is rumored that their were no notifications put out for these jobs or interviews. If there were maybe the FWISD can show where the job listings were made public. So whatever B.S you want to call it, we are calling it racism. What do you call it Trustees?

Could this be another problem with another coach at Benbrook Middle-High School and it's principal covering up unethical behavior that could possibly violate University Interscholastic League rules? The last post by The325th.com was about the principal, the former Fort Worth ISD Athletic Director and the head football coach altering enrollment numbers to move down in classification. This shared post deals with the head volleyball coach possibly recruiting players to the school from a club team she is a part of. If she is recruiting she isn't doing a very good job being that the Benbrook MHS Volleyball team, the #1 seed, lost in the bi-district round of the playoffs to the Alvarado Lady Indian Volleyball team, the #4 seed.

31/10/2023

Procedeo again has broken their word to taxpayers and to the faculty, parents and students for the yet to be opened Rolling Hills Elementary.

The school was supposed to be open for the start of the school year but was far from completion when the school year started. Procedeo then announced that the campus would be ready in October. Today is the final day of October and Procedeo continues to offer only tricks with no treats.

The Rolling Hills campus was the first project in the 2021 $1.2 billion bond that voters narrowly passed. According to an article in Fort Worth Report (FWR)it stated that the building was on a tight deadline and that “administrators declined to seek more applicants to manage the bond”. There were eight companies that competed to manage the $750 million . Procedeo’s contract for the 2017 bond was worth up to $27.2 million according to FWR. Soon after Procedeo was awarded the 2021 bond contract, the FWISD employee who was in charge of the Capital Improvement Program (CIP), Vicki Burris, suddenly retired. Ms. Burris now works for the parent company of Procedeo, CORE Construction.

The new Rolling Hills campus will serve 411 students and will be the biggest elementary campus in the FWISD at 119,843 square feet. The campus just down the road, Westpark Elementary School, will have 372 students in its 80,281 square feet campus. The other elementary school that serves the Benbrook area south of Loop 820 has an enrollment of 473 students that are housed in a much smaller campus of 65,544 students. Odd that the smallest and oldest campus has the most students and the two of the three newest and larger campuses will have fewer students. That is FWISD math at its best.

The reason Rolling Hills isn’t ready is because of a water pump and an actuator. Both failed test. A new actuator was just installed and supposedly waiting on the City of Fort Worth to test to make sure the fire suppression system will work.

FWISD Watchdog has posted that the Rolling Hills would be delayed on both occasions because we were told that by a reliable source. Why is it that Procedeomand the Fort Worth ISD will never act in a transparent manner to the voters, taxpayers and parents? Maybe now they understand why 3 of the 4 propositions failed in the 2021 bond and will fail again when they role out another bond asking for more money for a broken and depleted school district.

One more note and you heard it hear first...Rolling Hill’s will have leaks and pipe burst just like Westpark and other schools have had because of poor work and bad management by Procedeo. Remember Watchdog told you that!

31/10/2023

It seems that the new Fort Worth ISD Administration building did indeed flood. Part of the building is below ground and the district allegedly had many boxes of paper records that were possibly destroyed.

The FWISD Professional Development Center has had leaks for months and is apparently flooded every time it rains. Employees are complaining about mold and respiratory issues.

Parents and teachers are also concerned about adequate heating in the schools. We received word yesterday that Meadowbrook Elementary had no heat in parts of the building.

We have also learned that the former FWISD CFO who retired, was hired by Dr.Scribner to oversee the new administration building construction project according to a source. Since December of last year she has received monthly payments from the FWISD totaling $53,313.

How can any Trustee not have the sense to question why is a retired CFO overseeing a $40 million construction project? We will tell you why...most of the Trustees are part of the rot that corrodes the FWISD. When you see and Dr. Camille Rodriguez posing for a pic in their Ranger jerseys together this is a problem. The Trustees shouldn’t be buddying up with FWISD Administration. This district is falling apart and the Trustees just sit there and make happy FWISD Facebook post and act like all is good in the district. Wake up parents, taxpayers and teachers. They are in this game to better themselves, not the students.
