Digital reality - the basis of skills training DRinVET is a project aimed at introducing Digital Reality (VR, AR, MR and XR) in Vocational Education and Training.

It is a step that will help resolve crisis situations, especially in practical training and assessment, which we still encounter today.

The Agency for Mobility and EU programs evaluated the implementation of our project with a score of 99/100.

The last transnational project meeting was held on November 22 and 23, 2022. in Slavonski Brod.
The partners approved the final texts of all intellectual outputs of the project. Administrative details for the final project report were also discussed. At the end, the ex*****on method and content of multiplier events were agreed upon.
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of mutual tolerance, understanding and respect.

🇹🇯 On the 9th of December 2022. the Learn Virtual Europe carried out the multiplier event of the DRinVET project at Budapest, gathering 40 participants from Hungary and from the neighbouring hungarian spoken European countries as well. The main objective of the event was to present/demonstrate the results of the DRinVET project and to discuss about the possibilities of validating the project results at EU level.
During the event Ferenc Benus Jr. technical director and Zoltán Kelemen project manager were given an overview of all the intellectual outputs, valued outcomes of the project activities and existing intellectual products developed under the DRinVET project.
After the lunch brake all the participants could try various existing VR/AR training simulator solutions designed to support the VET.🤓

E1 multiplier event of the project "Digital reality - the basis of skills training" (DRinVET) was held in Slavonski Brod on 15 December 2022. Edita Margeta, Davor Knežević and Željko Habek informed the attendees about the project and project results after which the participants had the chance to work on a virtual welding simulator and immerse into educational materials through VR glasses. The participants expressed great interest in trying out the virtual space. The conference was attended by about 120 people - teachers and students from 4 secondary vocational schools in Slavonski Brod, teachers from vocational schools in Slatina, Valpovo, Nova Gradiška and Županja, as well as representatives of the Agency for Vocational Education and Education of Adults and the Croatian Chamber of Trades and Crafts.

The Erasmus+ project DRinVET published a collection of Best practices on its YouTube channel. The project partners hope that this collection can help teachers and trainers in vocational schools and adult education on the way to applying digital reality technologies in practice.

🤓 While the project meeting was taking place in Huelva, with the cooperation of the DRinVET partnership (ATS, EWF, IOS, LVE, STRUKA, SVSXASS, UCV, VIRSABI), we LVE members who remained at home diligently visited Hungary to help the children in their career choices. 🚗😊👩‍🏭👩‍🔧🧑‍🏭🧑‍🔧

VR for students with learning difficulties

VR can be great for those students with learning difficulties. Students can learn about the world around them in a safe and controlled environment.

As with primary school students, immersive classrooms tend to be the most popular form of VR for helping students with learning difficulties.

It is not uncommon for students to struggle with using VR headsets. With an immersive classroom, teachers can take the lesson in a much more normal way. The students are still able to look around and explore the virtual surroundings, but they can do so in a familiar way, without feeling closed in.

VR has been found to be helpful for students with autism. A study by Strickland et al. (2007) showed that children with autism could apply skills they had learnt in a virtual environment to the real world.
