Brazilian artist Aline Melo’s releases the timely new single “DEIXE O AMOR ENTRAR” (Portuguese for “Let Love In”).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KSXwpErVa7g

Arriving on Wednesday, January 1 to usher in the New Year with a message that we all have to do our part in making the world a better place even if we only make a tiny difference, “DEIXE O AMOR ENTRAR” dares to imagine a world where people are kinder to each other and where love is the priority.

Shaped by Brazil’s love story between Africa and Europe, Aline is a singer, songwriter, and poet whose eclectic artistry intertwines the realms of poetry, Bossa Nova, Candomblé, and pop. Infused with the richness of Salvador’s music, rhythm, and energy, Aline’s music draws inspiration from Bahian artists such as Gal Costa, Olodum, Carlinhos Brown, Gilberto Gil, and Caetano Veloso, as well as her time spent in New York, where she moved when she was 17 to learn English and explore her musical talents, before travelling the globe.

Vanessa J. Moore has released 'Morning Light,' a new Beatles-esque slow jam that resolves to be more understanding in the New Year. The song aims to reach across the divide to bring us together and inspire peace and selflessness in a climate where we’re more divided than ever. Listen to it now!

This will sell out so get your tickets early! The LAST POETS, ReBelle, Strafe, Synacure - one night only. Sat. Nov 30 - 7:30 pm

Hip Hop Originators, African Roots Reggae, Club Legends, Brazilian vibes and more will spin out a night to remember. This event is hosted and produced by Woodstock's own Bryan Lurie (Synacure)...www.rebelsoulmusicfair.com

"IN THIS TIME OF CHANGE…..”

And not a moment too soon to help us understand and get us through this divisive, combative moment in American and world history….Nothing more fitting than the legendary LAST POETS in their first ever appearance in Woodstock. Acclaimed as the Founding Fathers of the Hip-Hop Nation, ever since their gold record debuts in 1971, THE LAST POETS have described, deplored, exalted and redeemed the state of their people and our nation. They have recorded with and shared stages with some of the greatest musicians of our era - from Pharoah Sanders to Kanye West to many in between….Please join us in welcoming them to the Woodstock Playhouse on November 30.

Opening up the evening is dance icon and former A&M recording artist, STRAFE, whose club anthem “SET IT OFF” has never ceased to be played in clubs worldwide, and whose impact on that scene cannot be overstated. Both a love song and a call to action, “Set It Off” perfectly encapsulates STRAFE’s understanding that the personal is political and that the political is personal.

REBELLE’s African Roots Reggae is a spiritual Brother and Sister to the Soul of the evening…..singing and grooving in multiple languages, “ReBelle’s mission is the birthing of a living culture of love and the unbounded liberation of humanity”.

“WHO ARE WE NOW?”, SYNACURE’S debut single on ZIQ STREET records, was born from a piece from the LAST POETS’ ABIODUN OYEWOLE and BABA DON BABATUNDE’s unreleased masterpiece, OMI TUTU. WHO ARE WE NOW? is the question we will be attempting to answer on November 30 at the Woodstock Playhouse, as we party, groove, debate and confront the moment….See you there!"
