FEATURE| SUPREME STUDENT COUNCIL ON THE GO.

In a spirited gathering,anchored on the theme of unleashing the spirit of sportsmanship and camaraderie, students from various clusters came together for the commencement of the DOIT Intramurals organized by the Supreme Student Council last Nov.17-19, 2023.

On the opening program, Gov. Niño Sotero L Uy graced the event and inducted the newly elected SSC officers of Davao Oriental Institute of Technology. The SSC headed by their President and all it's subordinates actively prepared all that is needed, from the venue decorations to every events tabulations.

As they take on the veil of responsibility, they have shown true leadership and foster worthwhile and positive impacts not just to every DOITians but also to those who was with us during the intramurals.

This is just the beginning of honing your capabilities and genuine aspiration of serving, and working hand and hand with every DOITians. As we move on to another exciting events, we would like to give you our warmest congratulations and express our gratitude for a successful 3-days intramurals.

We appreciate all the hard works and your persistent to make this event materialized.

RECAP |The Exciting Match of Volleyball Game

The men and women volleyball championship game burning with excitement as soon as the players from two different clusters enter the court. The game was exactly started at 8:00am in the morning on November 17, 2023 at Mati Sports Complex. Among the fourteen competitive clusters only two clusters succeeded in playing for the championship game.

The game started with a heated battle as each team was skilled and strategic. Each team has its own way of passing and catching the ball. Everyone on the game made sure that there was no idle time and every time the ball passed to their opponent, there was a point added to their score.
The longer the game goes on, the more heated the fight becomes. While the players are doing their best to win the match their supporters are cheering loudly to encourage their supported player.

Truly the event made a positive impact towards the students, as we all know each of them were struggling with there academics but through the intramurals, they can still enjoy their life as a student by just playing with their chosen sports. It helps not just for their physical aspect but also in their mental health. Intramurals help them to get out from their shelves and were able to socialize and make friends with the others. Every players were trying their best so they can win but at the end only one will be the champion. Although not all of them win but what matters most is that the camaraderie and sportsmanship is still there.

Despite the heated battle, the Lightning Wolves made sure to surpass their opponent's score by a few points. Thus, the game ended with a score of 25-22 leading a Lightning Wolves to Victory over Fire Eagle.

The court was filled with joy and cheer when the Lightning Wolves won the title as " CHAMPION" (volleyball women division). According to their captain ball, Ms. Jenisel Felix "its an honor for me to be their captain ball. cause aside of having fighting spirit my team also work as one.. we help each other to finish the tournament as champion the essence of team work sportsmanship and camaraderie was shown during the game and were so proud that we give honor to our cluster. which is the cluster 10 and I know that dli lang intrams ang cluster 10 gahot apan sa upcoming pa na mga events".

Intramurals 2023 was not merely a competition, it was a celebration, camaraderie, and the indomitable spirit that defines intramurals sports. As the echoes of cheer faded away. One thing became clear- the legacy of this would resonate in the memories of participants and spectators alike, creating a foundation for the intramurals of the future.

In this article, we will delve into the action-packed journey of the recent intramural basketball championship games on November 19,2023 , celebrating the achievements of the champion, first runner-up, and second runner-up teams. Let's relive the moments that showcased the prowess and determination of these phenomenal athletes.

Champion – Cluster 10 Lightning Wolves:
The thunderous applause from the crowd filled the air as Team Lighting Wolves emerged as the victors of the intramural basketball championship. Led by their exceptional captain Mr. Meljun Tanoy, the Lightning Wolves displayed an awe-inspiring performance throughout the tournament. With their flawless teamwork, impeccable shooting accuracy, and impenetrable defense, they proved to be unstoppable.

Their journey to triumph was not without its challenges. Facing formidable opponents in the early rounds, the team exhibited resilience and determination. With each game, their chemistry only grew stronger, enabling them to dominate the court in the final rounds. The moment they lifted the championship trophy was a testament to their unwavering commitment and tireless effort.

First Runner-Up – Cluster 9 Phantom Serpent :
The road to the finals was fiercely contested, but Team Phantom Serpent showcased their mettle in every game. Led by the inspirational captain Mr. Jomel Flores, the Phantom Serpent wowed spectators with their exceptional skills and tenacity. Demonstrating remarkable offensive prowess and defensive strategies, they fought hard to secure their place in the championship game.

The clash between the Lightning Wolves and the Phantom Serpent was one for the ages. Both teams displayed an exceptional level of basketball technique, with every point earned through sheer determination. Despite falling short in the final game, the Phantom Serpent proved their caliber and left an indelible mark on the tournament.

Second Runner-Up – Cluster 13 Fire Tiger:
With their electrifying style of play, Team Fire Tiger demonstrated why they were a force to be reckoned with. Led by their dynamic captain Mr. Erick Assediente, the Fire Tiger made their presence known on the court. Their passion and unwavering commitment shone through each game, and they fought valiantly to secure a podium finish.

Competing against fierce adversaries, the Fire Tiger showcased their versatility and skill, narrowly missing out on the championship game. Nonetheless, their achievements in the tournament are a testament to their hard work and dedication.
