ISLAMABAD: At least a dozen people including journalists’ shoes were stolen from the Parliament House mosque on Friday, ARY News reported.

The worshippers at the mosque could not find their shoes after offering Jumma prayers at the mosque.

Sources said that the security officials responsible for duty of the mosque were absent at the time of the incident.

Meanwhile, the authorities were taking the help of CCTV footage to find the culprit who stole the shoes of a dozen people including journalists.

National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq took notice of the incident and ordered an investigation into the failure of the security officials to ensure the security of the worshippers at the Parliament House mosque.

Joint Secretary for Admin and Sergeant at Arms will conduct the investigation.

A 24-year-old Pakistani citizen was arrested by security forces in Hyderabad India, ARY News reported.

As per details, the Indian media claimed that the Pakistani boy identified as Faiz Muhammad who hails from Bisham Shangla was illegally residing in Hyderabad since November 2022.

His brother Iqbal Hussain said that Faiz Mohammed went to Sharjah for work and married an Indian Muslim woman. They now have a son too.

He said that he lost contact with his brother as his WhatsApp number was not turned off and he came to know about his arrest from the Indian media. Iqbal Hussain requested the government to make efforts for the release of his brother Faiz Muhammad.

Rising actor Samar Abbas Jafri penned a heartfelt tribute to his on-screen father and TV veteran Naumaan Ijaz, after the latest episode of ‘Mayi Ri’.

After the latest episode 19 of ‘Mayi Ri’ aired on Sunday, where Zaheer (Ijaz) breathed his last, Jafri, who essays lead protagonist Fakhir in the play, posted a BTS picture with the former on Instagram.

“I’m honoured and blessed enough to be able to work with him in my first project. I can’t explain the amount of love I have for him () in my heart,” the young actor wrote in the caption.

Jafri added, “He guided me like a father in the first spell when I was super nervous. Our track was about the gaps that exist in father-son relationships. These gaps can be caused by misunderstandings, differences in perspectives or even lack of communication.”

A heart-wrenching incident happened in the United States (US) where a teenage mother killed her 38-day-old baby after giving him excessive paracetamol.

The 19-year-old mother Ellie Jacobs from Biddlesden, Buckinghamshire killed her baby son Archie Jacobs after breaking his leg and foot. She gave birth to her son Archie on a caravan site near Buckingham when she was just 16.

The teenager denied charges of murder earlier this month, but her guilty plea for manslaughter was accepted by prosecutor Jane Bickerstaff KC.

The court stated that a 999 call was made on June 5 2020 after Archie went into cardiac arrest in Buckinghamshire but he was soon pronounced dead.

The post-mortem report made some astonishing revelations that the youngster’s cause of death was acute paracetamol toxicity.

“Ellie Jacobs has admitted causing Archie’s broken leg and foot in the days prior to his death, as well as admitting that she administered the large paracetamol overdose that caused his death.

More than 60 women who attended a Melbourne private school in the late 1990s have allegedly received used condoms in the mail, as well as graphic, sexualised handwritten messages.

The mail has been sent to the women by an unknown perpetrator, with the women reporting the incidents, which have been ongoing since March 20, to police.

Police said the women’s addresses were obtained from a yearbook for the class of 1999 at Kilbreda College.

Most victims have received multiple letters, all with used condoms. Police investigators are carrying out DNA and handwriting analysis to attempt to find the offender.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Grant Lewis said the letters were suggestive, threatening and sexualised.

Police believe the victims are part of a targeted attack, with the letters mailed to addresses in Melbourne’s southeastern and eastern suburbs.

One of the women who received a letter at her former address, Bree, said her mother had called her after receiving the letter, asking if she should open it for her.

“Her reaction was quite shocked and upset. She was really grossed out and her and dad were worried thinking someone was targeting me,” Bree told reporters.

“It’s beyond a joke now. We just want it to stop. One of the girls has received four letters and she’s just over it.”

“We’ve got no idea who it could be. No one can seem to find a connection. We can’t think of anybody who has a grudge against us.”

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward and said their message to the offender is ‘you need to stop this’ and ‘we will find you'”.

A boy from Okara was arrested after he posted about a ceremony marking the death anniversary of Sidhu Moose Wala which planned aerial firing.

The boy, named Sharjeel Malik, had put up a poster on social media saying that a khatam would be arranged for the singer from Indian Punjab who was assassinated this day last year.

The poster circulating on social media even identified the location as Samadpura’s university street and contained an open invitation to all badmaash (hooligans). In a hilarious twist, the invite mentioned jatts as the only other group other than the badmaash.

The poster said that firing would take place after the khatam. It also mentioned lyrics from Sidhu’s songs such as jatt da muqabla dass mainu kithay aa and ehda uthuga jawani ch janaza.

However, Okara’s DPO sprung into action as soon as the poster went online. Police from Police Station B Division went to the arrest that Sharjeel had identified himself and arrested him.

In keeping with the fact that the whole thing had been viral on social media, of course the photo of the arrest was posted online as well.

Sidhu Moose Wala was killed when unidentified assailants shot him 30 times in the Jawaharke village of Mansa district, India. His father told media recently that the police investigation was moving too ‘slowly’.

The United Nations issued a flash appeal on Tuesday for $160 million to help Pakistan cope with catastrophic floods that have killed more than 1,100 people, destroyed infrastructure and crops, and affected 33 million people. "Pakistan is awash in suffering," UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in a video message for the launch of the appeal in Islamabad and Geneva. "The Pakistani people are facing a monsoon on steroids - the relentless impact of epochal levels of rain and flooding." He said the scale of needs, with millions of people forced from their homes, schools and health facilities destroyed and livelihoods shattered by the climate catastrophe, required the world’s collective and prioritised attention. Dinosaur tracks from around 113 million years ago have been revealed at Dinosaur Valley State Park in Texas due to severe drought conditions that dried up a river. "Most tracks that have recently been uncovered and discovered at different parts of the river in the park belong to Acrocanthosaurus. This was a dinosaur that would stand, as an adult, about 15 feet tall and (weigh) close to seven tons," park spokesperson Stephanie Salinas Garcia told CNN in an email.
