Vistara is finally merged with Air India 🇮🇳 ✈️

Some important highlights:
- Vistara's planes will be operated by Air India from Nov 2024 as the merger between the two airlines progresses after key Indian government approval.

- ⁠From 3rd Sept 2024, bookings with Vistara for travel after 12th Nov 2024 will not be possible.

- ⁠Bookings will be redirected to Air India's website 👉 https://www.airindia.com

- The merger, cleared by Indian and Singaporean antitrust regulators, is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

- ⁠The Vistara brand will eventually be retired.

- ⁠Post-merger, Singapore Airlines will hold a 25.1% stake in the combined Air India group, investing $250 million. The company may invest up to 50.2 billion Indian rupees ($599 million) after the merger is completed.

Vandals target France's high-speed rail 🚆 network as Olympics get underway 🤦‍♂️

"Last night, the SNCF was victim of several acts of vandalism on the Atlantic, Northern and Eastern high-speed lines. Fires were deliberately set to damage our installations," the SNCF said in a statement.

It urged all travellers to postpone their journeys. Repairs were underway but traffic would be severely disrupted until at least the end of the weekend. Trains were being sent back to their points of departure.
