After completing the build of a 1983 ex-ADF Unimog 1700L which we travelled in around Australia for 3 years, we purchased an ex-military 1975 Volvo C304 6x6 in Sweden.

You can live in a truck but you can't travel in a house 🗺

When the time comes, we will homeschool our son (at least at first). He meets a lot of children on the road from different backgrounds & nationalities. He's a social butterfly!

Both vehicles cost less than €30k stock 💸

It took us a year to build 'Bowser' with no experience or trade background. We did the entire fit-out ourselves and filmed/shared the entire build series on Youtube. This is when our Youtube channel took off and we started to make a proper income from it.

Tackling this 'smaller' build wasn't easy. Moving to the other side of the world to a country where we knew no one. We lived out of an old 80's motorhome with our toddler while doing the build.

We worked hard to get where we are now. Not the conventional 9-5, not a stable income but enough that we can pursue our dreams.

Living in a small space with a young child isn't for the faint of heart 😆

No electronics. 'Simple' to work on and fix on the side of the road if need be. Off-road capable. Unique. Affordable. They tick all our boxes!

Our short time back in Australia is at an end but we had such a good time.

From major upgrades to our war truck (both in terms of performance and comfort); to many happy hours playing on the coast.

Oaks hit some great milestones including being fully potty trained and sleeping in his own bed throughout the night.

We saw some familiar faces and made some great new friends (we wish we could have caught up with more of you - hopefully next time!).
A huge thank you to those who made our time so enjoyable and successful while we have been back.

The True Kit Inflatables Discovery 400 was epic as always and allowed me to enjoy some great dives and take Oak on his first night of camping in a tent.

Thank you to Compo Closet Australia for our Cuddy composting toilet - we are going to miss it!

Thank you to Northcoach RV Equipment for our absolutely epic 12v lifting bed. This thing puts a smile on my face at least twice a day.

A big thank you also to MLB Paint Distributors in Perth for generously providing us with paint and supplies to help modernise Bowser's look. We love it.

Last but not least, thank you to Bushbuck for our truly top-notch outdoor clothes and camping gear.

Time now to park up Bowser back in Perth.
Next stop: Athens to pull Skadi out of hibernation!

Since coming back to Australia, we've been dreaming of coming back to this spot.

Last time we were there, Oakley was juste 7 months old baby so it was really special coming back as a family with a 3 year old toddler ❤️

One of the main reasons we came back to Australia 🚤

We really missed the amazing beach camping, spearfishing and our True Kit Inflatables.
We absolutely love that it's packed up on our cab roof and that we don't have to tow. We can take the Mog to the most remote beaches without having to worry about launching a boat from a trailer.

This boat has taken us on some epic multi-day island adventures in Queensland and it's been ideal for spearfishing from in WA. After 3 years of having no fresh fish, nabbing a bunch of delicious baldchin groper has been awesome!

Oakley loves eating the fresh fish! He's just not too sure about the smell though... How would you caption that last pic? 🤣
