Podcast Launches Spring 2020
Oklahoma theatre geeks hit record and explore their new addiction to 5e Dungeons and Dragons! This podcast features live play as well as episodes that take you Behind the Curtain as Dungeon Master and players discover more about the world’s greatest role-playing game. The D20 to Curtain podcast is not just live play, but a unique D&D experience that brings creators and community together to elevate each other’s games and make each RPG session a Critical Hit!
In 2018, we (a group of artists with a passion for theatre) played our first session of Dungeons and Dragons and even from the opening moments we knew we were hooked. What we hadn’t realized was how much D & D would help to sharpen our skills as artists. From that realization, D20 to Curtain was born and together we hope to create more than just live play podcast, but a unique experience that uses D &D to highlight (and, for some, demystify) the most recognized and misunderstood tools shared by performers and great D & D players. Everything from active listen and generosity, to being invested and open. We hope you’ll share your experiences with us while we pass on what insight we have into the art of role-playing.
Our show features a cast of (relatively) new D & D fanatics who also love a good show tune and can’t wait to play each session. The cast for this campaign consists of Timothy Stewart (as Ally), Kara-Lynn Neel (as Nesrin), Jennifer Barton-Stevenson (as Eula), Jared Blount (as Jaide), Jodi Nestander (as Lapis) and Jerome Stevenson (our Dungeon Master). The D20 to Curtain podcast will also feature original music by Louis Goldberg and character art by Nsikak Udofia. Once we launch, look for our show every other Monday on iTunes, Google Podcast, Stitcher, Overcast, and anywhere else podcasts are distributed.
We hope you will consider supporting D20 to Curtain. We look forward to hearing from you!
