Homestyle Vegetable Beef Soup

Ingredients (Makes a large pot — about 10–12 servings):

2 lbs (900 g) ground beef (or stew beef chunks)

1 large onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed

3 large carrots, sliced

2 cups green peas (fresh or frozen)
