Have you unplugged today?

Our mission is to rest on Sundays. Sade’ believes in self-care throughout the week, but on Sundays it's important for her to do NOTHING! She doesn’t wash clothes, clean, or run errands. She attends church on Sundays at Celebration Church and practices stillness.

Sade’s favorite way to practice stillness is grabbing her yoga mat and sitting in her backyard, feet in the grass; grounded with complete silence and focused on clearing her mind.

A self-care tip she suggests is a moment of stillness, which means no phone, no tv, and no distractions. Committing to ten minutes a day is enough to create a still moment.

Did you feeling good today?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Just about everyday Sade’ workouts and that makes her feel really good. But, if she’s feeling extra good on a Friday; she’ll splurge on a purchase from one of her favorite stores; like Madewell, Nordstrom, or Homegoods.

Make sure you take some time to do something that makes you feel good today!

Jacksonville Woman, on Sundays we rest, which means we self-care! You can't pour from an empty cup. If you don't take care of yourself, then how are you going to give others the best part of yourself?!?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For Maya, self-care looks different for her week to week but she tries her best to make it a priority. She loves a relaxing bubble bath with candles and a glass of wine, coloring in adult coloring books using colored pencils, doing yoga, and calling lifelong friends to check on them. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Have you Self-Cared this Sunday?

Our Laura self-care is twofold: letting her mind relax (because she tends to go go go 24/7) and doing something that makes her happy. Sometimes it’s finding a new series on Hulu, taking a long hot bath, scrolling through reels on Instagram or trying out a new face mask. Or a combo of all four!

Laura is getting back into working out (thanks to quarantine!) and is waiting for her new Tonal to be installed. She’ll report back when she’s done her first couple of workouts as to whether she finds that as a form of self-care or torture 😆

Laura feels strongly about supporting local businesses this year.

“I’m making a big push this year to support local businesses during the holidays and would love for people to share their business with me so I can share with my followers. I think it’s so amazing for us all to support each other. Don’t get me wrong, I still order from Amazon and Target. But there are some really amazing local creators that I plan to buy a lot of my Christmas gifts from”.

We can also support Laura by using the link below to shop. She makes a small commission when her followers purchase the products she shares through her links.
