When endeavoring to avoid headlines for criminal idiocy with a green flair, you'd best remember one simple rule: Charge the EV in which you are attempting to flee the scene of your crime. As Fox5 reports, police say two would-be criminal masterminds robbed gaming systems from an unnamed store in Gwinnett County, Georgia. Responding officers were told that they fled in a Tesla, put out a description to fellow cops ... and wouldn't you know it, the devious twosome were located not far away from the crime scene—charging the aforementioned Tesla.

As a cold front gains momentum, severe thunderstorms, many packing some high wind gusts, will erupt and roll from the eastern Great Lakes, Ohio Valley, which is our own backyard and middle Mississippi Valley to the Appalachians and Atlantic Seaboard into Wednesday and beyond in some cases, AccuWeather meteorologists warn.

The storms can trigger regional power outages and lead to major travel delays as they approach and pass through the major metro areas. Tree and property damage will be likely in some communities. Be careful out there.

Suspects arraigned following Perry County double murder

Two people charged in the Perry County double murder case were arraigned on yesterday July 16th.

Treston Combs, 20, of Bulan, and Emmaleigh Collins, 19, of Jeff, are the two suspects in the murder of Anthony Stidham, 18-, and 20-year-old Braxton Marlowe. Combs and Collins attended the arraignment via video chat from the Kentucky River Regional Jail. The two are being held without bond and a not-guilty plea was entered on their behalf. Combs reportedly fired multiple shots at people during a fight on Polly Hollow Road. Emmaleigh Collins, Comb’s girlfriend, reportedly drove Combs with her car to her home where the firearm in question was found inside her bedroom clothing drawer by troopers. A back-to-back preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23.

Summer is here and while the kids are out of school, some parents and caregivers stress over the fact that there are those kids that only get a really decent meal during school, well breathe a little bit easier. The Floyd County school system will be providing a free breakfast and lunch meal to each child from the ages of one through eighteen Monday through Friday from June tenth until July 31st regardless of where they live or go to school. Now, there’s different ways that kids can get their meals, the staff will be coming around to different places Monday through Friday’s!
