A Glimpse from Yuzu’s 7th Birthday 🎂💐🎉🤩😻🎁

With heartfelt gratitude, I want to thank each and every one of you for taking time out of your busy lives to extend your warm wishes and blessings on Yuzu’s birthday. A special thanks to my brother, Bala Raj Rai, in-law Manu Lepcha and family, as well as to her dedicated class teacher, subject teachers, and her amazing friends for making this day truly memorable for her. We are deeply grateful for your thoughtfulness and love.

To her friends and neighbors who joined to celebrate her modest birthday in the evening, thank you for your presence and for filling the day with joy and laughter. Yuzu’s growth and achievements so far are not just the result of our efforts alone; they are a reflection of the collective guidance, love, and encouragement she has received from each one of you over the years.

Honouring Lewis the Koala at University of Canberra 😊🙏

In 2019, fires devastated Australia, tearing across the country at a terrifying rate leaving homes destroyed, livelihoods ruined, and many animals burned. Ellenborough Lewis the koala was pulled from the flames by the heroic Toni Doherty, who spotted the burned koala running into fires near Por Macquarie in NSW. The brave and loving actions of Toni gave Lewis another chance at life, a chance many of his fellow koalas did not get. Sadly, Lewis succumbed to his burns and passed away shortly after his rescue. Over 30,000 koalas died in the Australian bush fires with 80% of their habitat destroyed. Already in dramatic decline this has led them closer to being critically endangered.

This memorial to Lewis and Toni reminds us of the importance of human compassion and the role we all can play in conservation by simply stopping to lend a hand.’

Blessed to Have Met Their Majesties Up Close for the First Time🥰🙏🙏🙏💐

I feel incredibly blessed to have met Their Majesties so closely for the first time. This precious moment will live in my heart forever.🥰

Every word His Majesty spoke touched us deeply, resonating beyond words. The viral videos of Bhutanese people shedding tears upon meeting His Majesty are not exaggerated. I found myself holding back tears several times, trying to remain composed. Even in this photo, as we bid farewell to Their Majesties, I was holding back my emotions. A dear friend beside me couldn’t contain hers, and you can see her crying in the photo.

It was a profoundly moving experience, one that will stay with me always.❤️🥰

I couldn’t be prouder to wear this precious vest of a Desuup and extend my service during the most auspicious Royal visit. Being far from home, it was an honor to step up and serve during His Majesty’s audience in Canberra.

Our Village Football Team (LG United)🤩
(5th-6th October 2024)

Our village football team competed in the 8-Areas Dassain Football Tournament, a two-day event hosted by my alma mater, Sengdhyen Lower Secondary School. Although the team didn't make it to the final, falling just short in the semifinals, our brothers demonstrated remarkable resilience and team spirit throughout the tournament.

Their performance was nothing short of inspiring, as they battled with determination and heart. It’s a historic achievement for our team to have reached the semifinals, a milestone that reflects our growing STRENGTH and UNITY. This is just the beginning—let’s continue to stand united and push forward to achieve many dreams together.😊🤩
