One thing to keep in mind is that a very serious accusation has been made about someone. There hasn’t been any legal action yet so we won’t jump to any conclusions.

However, what we will say at Modern Hmong Men is, remember to hold your friends to a higher level of accountability and to not let anything ever make you numb from being a good human. 🫶🏼

As Modern Hmong men, it is important to address the issue of domestic abuse and violence that affects some individuals and families within the Hmong community. Domestic abuse and violence can occur in any community, regardless of cultural background, and it is essential to confront this issue to create a safer and healthier environment for everyone.

The Hmong community must recognize that domestic abuse and violence are unacceptable and must be addressed with urgency. Education and awareness programs can help challenge harmful cultural norms and beliefs that perpetuate gender-based violence. Engaging community leaders, elders, and both men and women in discussions about healthy relationships, gender equality, and respectful behavior is crucial to effecting lasting change.

Encouraging open dialogue and providing resources for victims of domestic abuse and violence is essential. Support services should be accessible and culturally sensitive, providing a safe space for survivors to seek help. By promoting bystander intervention and encouraging community members to speak out against domestic abuse and violence, we can foster a culture of accountability and promote healthier relationships within the Hmong community.

We as Modern Hmong men have the opportunity to challenge harmful behaviors and beliefs, becoming advocates for change. By actively promoting gender equality, rejecting violence, and respecting the rights and autonomy of women, as modern Hmong men we can play a pivotal role in shifting societal attitudes and eradicating domestic abuse and violence within our community.
