Indie author Bridget Van der Eyk joins the show to talk about her two romance books, 10 Dates and 3000 Words. Bridget is one of the most bubbly, friendly and carefree people you will meet, and the interview was an absolute blast!

Bridget shares her story of self publishing, her inspiration for the story, snippets of her life and what it’s like to be an Australian author writing books about the United States. Bridget is also a 2024 Indieverse Award nominee for Best Romance Novel, so don’t miss this episode. We will definitely want to learn more about her and her books - not to mention her WIPs!

Also in this episode, Holly and Liz give a mid-year check in on books read and anticipated reads. in San Francisco gets a little shout out as well.

Some of the books mentioned and discussed in this episode include Butcher and Blackbird, Seeds of Deception, The Serpent & Wings of Night, and The 57 Bus. Also discussed are The Grandest Game and TJ Klune’s TWO upcoming releases.

Did you know that June is Audiobook Appreciation Month???

Audiobooks are predicted to have 10.4% growth rate each year for the next five years and are on the path to achieve $7.93 billion in revenue by the end of 2024!!

Audiobooks are amazing and allow more people access to books or to read more books in general! How awesome is it to turn on an audiobook when on a road trip when you can’t really read that paperback you throw into your suitcase?

And here is a huge shout-out to the amazing narrators of those audiobooks! There is so much talent there.

Wow!!!! The second half of the year is going to be so busy and so much fun!!!

We are excited to welcome new author friends, laugh with The Book Club Girls and just share our love for books!

Thanks for sticking around with us as we get ready to enter year 4! Seems impossible!!

We hope that everyone loves listening and laughing with and at us as much as we love recording and laughing at each other!

After some great conversations about impactful women authors in honor of International Women’s Month, Audible royalty changes, and Leigh Bardugo’s new book deal, we dive deep into some mixed feelings about Benjamin Stevenson’s Everyone In My Family Has Killed Someone.

We have had such an amazing 2023 season. We have had amazing guests and discussed our favorite books!!

We are continuing to look for ways to grow the show and do more to get our love for the literary world and the authors that fuel it out there into the world!

2024 is right around the corner, and we’ve been hinting for a while now that our show schedule was coming soon.

We are excited to release the schedule for the first half of 2024!

Oh my…we probably could have talked all day about Stephen King’s 11-22-63. There was just so much to talk about!

We wrapped up our March episode and are so excited to have it drop tomorrow!!

We hope that you listen as we talk about Roald Dahl and book adaptions. Some additional books discussed include The Assassin s Apprentice, Demon In the Wood, From Blood and Ash, and clearly the focus of the show 11-22-63!
