The fireworks are made of traditional ingredients such as gundu, amittu, kuzhiminnal, and olapadakkam.The teams also use special fireworks such as silver fish, red range, red leaf, flash flash, and more.
The sample fireworks are held on the eve of the festival to give a glimpse of what’s to come. The main fireworks are held at 3 a.m. on the day of the festival, followed by the pakal vedikkettu in the afternoon. The fireworks are synchronized with the rhythmic beats of the chenda melam, creating a mesmerizing spectacle for the eyes and ears.
