Hello!
So I was in the studio one Sunday evening trying to finish up a song but I was having creative block.
My friend (a Gospel musician) came and told me he was going for a program
Perfect!
So I decided to go with him
That's an advantage to leave the studio and I followed him.
I sat at the back until the program was over
While we were leaving his spiritual son(you know Gospel musicians and spiritual sons and daughters na😃) came and knelt down holding a car key and asked my friend to bless it
That he was invited to sing somewhere and the pastor gave him a car.
Wow!!!!!!
After the prayers,we were on our way
And I started questioning my friend
*Has he recorded any song?
NO!
*Where does he live?
HE'S STAYING WITH A FRIEND
*Is he working?
NO! HE'S A MINISTER.
*Ok! You mean a pastor serving under a church?
NO! A MUSIC MINISTER.
WOW!
So I started my analysis.
*The pastor should have sold the car and pay for a studio recording.
*He doesn't need a car right now.
He needs resources, a team and knowledge.
*This car will make him lazy.
He will feel like he has made it already
He will feel he's better than those he should be learning from (after all their gifts never got them a bicycle)
I became an enemy of progress immediately.
But I was being sincere because I have seen these play out all the time.
So I told my guy to give him 6 months and he will sell the car.
The first thing that happened was that the person he was living with chased him out of his apartment and he started living inside the car.
(I Know you're wondering why he didn't resort to staying with someone else for the time being)
He burnt every bridge
He could no longer access those friends because he felt he was bigger (after all that's what most Gospel musicians do)
He sold the car in my presence.
I even recorded it but later deleted the clip cause I felt it was unreasonable of me.
He was struggling to eat let alone maintaining a car.
A lot of you will still make same mistakes if you continue like this.
Most of you believe that your destiny helper is somewhere hustling day and night, breaking their back and saving the money for you
So one day, you will sing in a program and he/she will be blessed and will give you all they have laboured for because you're a "music minister"
You believe that your top Gospel musicians are living off honorarium.
And since they're not telling you the truth, you believe they're feeding their families with "God bless you"
You believe they don't charge because they're music ministers but you can't invite them to your concerts (even your pastor can't invite them) and you think because they don't charge, they won't size where they're going to before accepting invites?
You believe you're a music minister thus you shouldn't make money off your music
So you're moving from one studio to the other begging producers for free production and if they refuse, you call them demons (life is not all about money you said)
You've abusing privileges because you feel it's your rights in Christ Jesus.
In the end you settle for cheap production and upload on audiomac and start making noise about music ministry yen yen yen!!!!
You can't even pay for a good graphic design.
You invest the little money you have in fashion
Looking good on every flier and program
You're only a musician on Sundays.
From Monday to Saturday, you're at home preparing for another Sunday of roaming about all in the name of doing music ministry.
I know this post will hurt you but before you insult me, check yourself and be sincere if I'm saying the truth.

Export your percussions and drums as wave audio before mixing.
Plugin respond well with audio wave files than with vsts.
