"Trust because you are willing to accept the risk, not because it's safe or certain. "

Anonymous

The true test of trust is when risk is involved. If there is very little trust, the love for others tends to be shallow. How much are you willing to risk? For those that we love deeply most of us would be willing to risk everything. Everything means more than material possessions . For the sake of restoring others, how about temporarily losing yourself, your future, your time, talent, and relationships? American veterans risk it all and more for their belief in freedom for all. How grateful and precious that freedom shines when one sees the cost. For the greatest life ever taken we shall never truly know the cost. That level of love and trust is unfathomable.

"He who does not forgive breaks the bridge over which he himself must cross."

George Herbert - Welsh Poet (1593-1633)

Forgiveness will not change the past, yet doing so allows for expanding our growth, our freedom and our ability to love both ourselves and others beyond the imagination. Forgiving also provides space for blessings, laughter and gratitude. However, perhaps the greatest gift is that of healing. What healing takes place? Healing of the sadness, hurt, anger and revenge. Such feelings can eventually erupt into physical diseases and chronic ailments that limit and defeat the entire person. Choose to live in the freedom of forgiveness rather than in the prison of pain. Where's the path to healing? Ask God; He'll show you the way.

"Things work out best for those who make the best of how things work out."

John Wooden - Legendary Basketball Coach

Do you notice how some people are happy no matter what is going on in their life. They know the secret to life. If something happens that you don't like; change your attitude. Change your view of looking at the situation. The final point is that your feelings must boil down to acceptance, refocus and attitude. Find a way to make the best of the situation and remain as positive as possible. Let go and accept. The result is finding a place of peace inside yourself.

"Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud."

Maya Angelou - American Poet (1928-2014)

Repairman, mailman, receptionist, garbage collector, custodian, doctor, an elderly one, auto mechanic . . . These are only a few workers that we come into contact every day. And the majority of them will have minds and spirits full of challenges, trials, discouragement, condemnation, guilt or worry, to name a few. Many carry the dark clouds of life with them constantly and may rarely see the rainbow of hope. It could be a child, an over-worked mom, an unappreciated dad, a berated wife, a ridiculed child, or a lonely old man or woman. We seldom know the pain behind all the faces we encounter. A kind, encouraging word or a warm, gentile smile takes less than a minute to give away. Yet the power of that quick blessing has the potential to unknowingly change a life. Every day put a rainbow blessing in someone's cloudy path and who knows, a miracle may occur.

"Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars."

Casey Kasem - American Radio Celebrity (1932-2014)

"Reach for the stars" is a phrase that can certainly stir the adventuring spirit in many of us and some are thrust into action. Many become destitute trying. Some see fame calling; others to become world-wide travelers; while some are bent to invent, write, design, create, build, collaborate, or lead. What is your dream? How does it fit in with who you are? Your entire being will always yearn to be fulfilled with some aspect of that dream. Recognize it. Then continue to weave that dream intricately into your daily life. That is the life blood of who you are designed to be. The success key to fulfillment is. . . How to keep your feet on the ground! Bon Voyage!

"Others may question your credentials, your papers, your degrees. Others may look for all kinds of ways to diminish your worth. But what is inside you no one can take from you or tarnish. This is your worth, who you really are, your degree that can go with you wherever you go, that you bring with you the moment you come into a room, that can't be manipulated or shaken. Without that sense of self, no amount of paper, no pedigree, and no credentials can make you legit. No matter what, you have to feel legit inside first."

Chris Gardner

"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony."

Mahatma Gandhi - Indian Anti-war Activist (1869-1948)

In this world most people simply want to be happy. What is the secret of happiness and harmony? When our thinking, saying and doing have at their epicenter two elements, then harmony and happiness can never fail to result. What are those two elements upon which all of life thrives? It is so simple that many miss out. Love and gratitude! All things thrive on love and gratitude. Don't miss out! You can too!

"To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong."

Anonymous

Fear debilitates and inhibits. It limits and paralyzes. Fear smothers and clouds. It darkens and controls. Fear misunderstands and angers. Unfortunately, fear can rule. Fortunately, love trumps fear. Welcome being wrong. Let it go and celebrate your creative spirit. The world needs the real you!

"You can turn painful situations around through laughter. If you can find humor in anything, even poverty, you can survive it."

Bill Cosby - American Comedian

Let's face it . . . Life can be a struggle . . . Or it can become our favorite comedy show. What lens are you using through which to view your struggle? We are not perfect and by human nature we make mistakes knowingly or unknowingly. How adept are you at laughing at yourself or your situation? When I work myself into a state of frenzy over something, God may send a funny picture to my mind, such as . . . me running around like a chicken with it's head cut off. How silly is that behavior? That 's just enough to make me laugh and diffuse my anxiety. The humor lens of life is so much more fun! Which lens will you choose?

"One isn't necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We cannot be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest."

Maya Angelou - American Poet (1928-2014)

Maya Angelou leaves a true legacy of courage born from life's circumstances. What potential lies beneath your view? Could it be that a virtue lies dormant when not practiced? Which virtues take courage for you to practice consistently. Kindness, truthfulness, mercy, generosity, honesty? In order for potential to surface decide on a weaker virtue to practice today and ask God to shine through that weakness. Isn't our purpose for His glory?

"Believe you can and you are halfway there."

Theodore Roosevelt - 26th President of the USA (1858-1919)

Why is the first step . . . "Believing in ourselves" so difficult? Setting our sites on a goal is certainly secondary to the first step... Believing in ourselves. Can you picture yourself achieving your goal? What is holding you back? Fear? Failure thoughts? Too much work? Place your mind 's eye on the goal, support yourself with encouraging self talk, determine to stay the course, make adjustments and pursue your goal. To grasp and embrace the thought that we have what it takes to work and stick to our commitment is the bedrock to success. Build your bedrock now. Believe you can!

He had a troubled childhood – his parents separated, and his stepfather was physically abusive to his mother and siblings. His mother was falsely convicted twice because of his stepfather’s allegations. Because they had no one to take care of them, he, along with and his siblings, had to stay in a foster home at the age of 8. His first marriage failed partly due to his choice of opting out of a medical career and because he cheated on his wife. Not only did he fail miserably at his job as a medical equipment salesman, but his girlfriend also deserted him due to his deteriorating financial conditions. Homeless, he stayed with his son at motels, parks, airports and once even in a public toilet. He toiled incessantly at a brokerage firm during the daytime, stood in long queues so as to sleep under a roof at night.

He is none other than Chris Gardner, the C.E.O and founder of Christopher Gardner International Holdings – with offices in San Francisco, New York, and Chicago. His life was portrayed in a Howorldwide
Film – The Pursuit of Happyness – which not only went on to be a blockbuster, but was also loved by audiences worldwide

Don't let your part past or what your going through keep you down. Think Plan Execute

Is a mystery how the spirit leaves the body and it is as if the person never existed.
Is a mystery how the flesh we so much cherish flaws are expose when the spirit departs from the body. If the spirit survives the flesh after death, why then should we worry so much about the flesh not the spirit. If the human spirit survives the flesh after death what kind of priorities are we setting as humans........to be continued.
