FACEBOOK REBRANDS TO META

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg presented a keynote experience sampling the company’s vision for Meta and the fundamental building blocks that will create an ‘embodied internet’ where users are in the experience. Zuckerberg says the metaverse will be the successor to the internet.

Everything will feel more ‘natural and vivid’ and will deliver a deep feeling of presence. The next version of the internet will be built around people he said.

The way users attend online games, meetings, will all be reshaped for with a shared sense of space and presence. Users will be able to ‘teleport’ to all kinds of new spaces and whole worlds, where they can feel present, in ‘joyful and immersive’ ways. Instead of looking at a screen, users will be in the experience, Zuckerberg says.

He predicts in the next 5-10 years the metaverse will be just as real and convincing as the actual world.

Remembering Madge Sinclair (April 28, 1938 – Dec. 20, 1995).

She was a Jamaican actress best known for her roles in Cornbread, Earl and Me (1975), Convoy (1978), Coming to America (1988), Trapper John, M.D. (1980–1986), and the ABC TV miniseries Roots (1977).

Sinclair also voiced the character of Sarabi, Mufasa's wife and Simba's mother, in the Disney animated feature film The Lion King (1994).

A five-time Emmy Award nominee, Sinclair won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress – Drama Series for her role as Empress Josephine in Gabriel's Fire in 1991.

FATHER CUTS OFF 17 YEAR OLD DAUGHTERS HEAD AND CARRIES IT THROUGH THE STREETS BECAUSE HE DIDN'T APPROVE OF HER BOYFRIEND

A wicked father decapitated his 17-year-old daughter and carried her head through the streets because he reportedly did not approve of her boyfriend. Residents in the Indian village of Pandetara, Uttar Pradesh spotted Sarvesh Kumar walking with the head on Wednesday, March 3.

He was reportedly on his way to a police station after cutting off his daughter's head as part of an honour killing. Mr. Kumar admitted to beheading his daughter with a sharp object as he was unhappy with the relationship she was in, NDTV reports. 'I did it. There was no one else. I closed the latch and did it. The body is in the room', he said.

He also claimed that he would have killed her lover too if he was able to find him. Kumar was arrested by police and taken into custody. His wife was also arrested for her alleged involvement in the crime.

Police found the body of his daughter at the family home and have sent it for a post-mortem examination. An officer was suspended after he was pictured carrying the head 'inappropriately', according to local media reports.
