During his time in UDT and as a Navy SEAL in Vietnam, Richard "Demo Dick" Marcinko and his team were so formidable that a reward was offered for his capture. Highly decorated, he sought out conflicts in places like Cambodia and even body-surfed under enemy fire. He became so elite that new teams had to be created just for him. Leading Red Cell, his mission was to test the security of U.S. military bases worldwide. Red Cell's success embarrassed the military, leading to investigations against Marcinko. Despite trumped-up charges and imprisonment, he wrote a bestselling autobiography, Rogue Warrior, exposing the military further. He continued to captivate readers with thrilling adventures.

This was in Ecuador, where we assisted the locals and gave out supplies. This country is very near and dear to my heart as I was able to explore the Amazon jungle at the age of 17, which was a far removed world from the United States. At the time Ecuador in particular, I noticed, upon my arrival lacked many of the social programs that we are used to in the United States because of this gives me more gratitude towards my country, and showing my appreciation.
